Jacob didn't see anything odd with the idea of taking a helicopter to Rachel's wedding on Oahu. It was an island, after all, and between Paul and Rachel, he had gotten to the point where he stopped listening to their ramblings about it. Helicopters seemed as reasonable as having a giant ice sculpture on the tropical beach. who was he to question, except possibly the only sane one in the family?

He sat on the helicopter seat, clinging to his pen as he tried to write a best man speech. He had nothing, and he had told Paul he had been working on it for a week. That had been true, but all it had produced was several trees worth of ripped and crumpled paper.

Who in their right mind, asked their fiance's brother to be best man and give a speech at the reception? So far all his attempts had been patently false, or contained references to Paul attempting to eat them out of house and home when Rachel had been in Forks. But he loved his sister, and Paul was his friend so he kept trying anyway.

This isn't an easy task, He wrote, the whirring blades of the helicopter giving him a headache. All the things I'd like to say would get me dropkicked by my sisters, but then again they made me best man, so as far as I'm concerned, they asked for it.

I've known Rachel my whole life, even when she wasn't around, and Paul has become one of my best friends. I'd like to say I'm angry with them both since there has to be a rule about marrying your friend's sister -- but I look at them and I realize that they're in love.

If I know anything, it's that you can't control love. I've seen how Paul's universe revolves around Rachel, and I guess this means he won't be eating Dad and I out of house and home or keeping hld of the remote whenever Rachel's around anymore, so in that respect, good riddance.

Seriously though, I wish you all the happiness in the world, my sister and brother, long life and prosperity and all those cliche sayings, as long as after today I don't have to watch you kiss anymore.

He started out of his attempt as the descent on the helicopter began it's descent. He looked out the window, expecting to see beaches, palm trees and you know, maybe an airport. "What the hell?" He asked, yelling over the din of the blades and whipping air. The pilot either didn't hear or didn't want to answer.

Fifteen minutes later, he was standing on a green lawn with his suitcase, staring up at the castle, wondering if his sister had changed hr plans on where to be married, or if he was in some sort of supernatural problem again.
