"What in the blazin’…" Sawyer ran out when he heard the strange crackling sound of something going up in flames and smelled the burning of wood. He was a bit shocked to see what was before him, the whole sky was lit up in flames and smoke was everywhere. Something needed to be done and fast.

Sawyer ran towards the fire, looking for anyone else that might be near.

Maris had been contemplating a quick swim in the moat, since the place she'd first gone to for a swim seemed to have disgorged dinosaurs into the castle. She wasn't about to go back there to try to swim, not with those sort of things roaming freely, and not with the weird message on her phone. When she spotted the smoke, the thought of a swim was abandoned in favor of getting help.

Pulling out her phone, she hesitated a brief moment before putting out a message. Before abandoning her phone by the banks with her shoes, and swimming across the moat itself to get closer. Perhaps not the most intelligent thing she could do, but she trusted her nanites to at least give her a little more time before she had to get away from the smoke again.

Sawyer was still on his way over when he noticed the girl swimming in the water. "Hey, you!" He looked between her and the fire. "Need your help, we've got to get that out," he pointed to the fire as if she didn't already see it. "Can't let that spread, everything will be gone." And, of course there was a natural worry for Juliet settling in as he hadn't talked to her since the dinosaurs appeared.

Pulling herself out of the moat on the side nearer the fire, Maris gave the man who'd shouted a mildly irritated look. "Of course we need to put out the fire, that was rather the idea in swimming across the moat, rather than staying on the other side. Do you know where there might be tools to accomplish that task?"

Shovels for a fire break, though they could start with clearing what brush they could with bare hands. Possibly something to pump the water from the moat, if there was anything that could do the trick.

"A fire engine on site would be useful," she muttered to herself as she held up a finger to check the wind direction, and heading around the fire in that direction, with the thought that clearing any fuel for the fire she could from that direction would be best.

He supposed all of this meant that the Confessor Fox was correct. With the violence that seemed inherent in people's behavior, and now the threat of rampant destruction there were severe repercussions for ingesting the apple. He supposed, until the danger passed somewhat, that meant that he had to be always on his guard, without a moment of shut-down, regardless of the lack of proper repair facilities within the castle.

Thus Data positioned ahead of the fire with an ax, trying to create a small, barren barrier that the fire couldn't pass through. This time he was armed with something a little more potent than broken furniture just in case he met unkind company in the woods.

The Southern man that left the message was right about the fire engine being in the garage. The place was rather big, but Damon and Bonnie were able to find it and head over to the fire. It was easy to spot the fire as the whole sky was lit up and smoke was everywhere.

Damon continued to drive it towards the fire till he saw someone standing with an ax and seemed to be trying to put up some sort of barrier. Damon stopped the truck, jumped out and ran towards the man. "Did you leave the message?" Not that it really mattered who left the message, the point was that they needed to get the fire out. "Got a fire truck and a witch. Seems the truck is fully functional."

Bonnie knew they would find the fire truck and once they started to head to the fire, it was not hard spotting the fire. The light lit the sky and she could see the smoke. She briefly touched her necklace for strength and took a look around as she looked out the window. This was going to be difficult.

She got out and followed Damon to where the man stood with the ax. It didn't matter who left the message, as long as she could be helpful in anyway at all. Once Damon started speaking Bonnie shook her head. "Way to be subtle, Damon," She muttered to herself. "I am not sure how much help I can be, but I am willing to do what I can."

"Excellent," he called out, stepping away from where he'd been working and the fire was gradually closing toward. "I did not but I responded to it as well."

He looked dryly at the fire truck. Furrowed his brow. He had no idea how to use this huge hunk of 300 year old technology.

He propped the ax on his shoulder, heading by the man and back toward the truck. "This is far before my time. If I am to assist you I'm going to require instructions. My name is Data." It was generally easier to address one another in stressful situations if names were available.

[(Didn't see Bonnie's tag at first. Sorry.)]
