"I'm a bit pleased about that myself," Romana smirked, because it was something that she repeated to herself on a daily basis. Being alive. It was a wonderful feeling, and she suspected that she was alive for a reason, a reason she'd yet to find out. Maybe help here? Maybe for something entirely different, but there had to be a scientific reason. "Most definitely, I hear he only chooses the best for that same reason." She assumed Jack was one of his former companions, which would explain the cause of his...wrongness. But she smiled. There was no reason to be rude anymore.
With listening ears, Romana sighed. It was more than obvious that most of the things Romana didn't believe existed or were extinct, were most definitely alive and well here. Romana needed to go visit the library again, and see if their was anything on the Castle's history just so she could get a better idea on things than she already had.
"This place just seems to defy laws of physics, "Romana adds, "I have no doubt in my mind that we won't be anything but busy." She hushes, wondering if her input was needed. At times, she tends to feel the need to get the last word. It's another bad habit of hers.
"This place is a bit odd, yes." he pursed his lips a bit, staring at them. "if there are any unruly vampires, I will pull together that mess. One rogue will ruin the reputation of all of us, and we cant have that." he grinned. After all, he *was* the owner of a tourist bar blooming. he knew all about needing to make sure it was under order. Although he did hate drinking synthetic blood.
"Fox Mulder," he replied to Jack. "Gwen and I went time-spelunking shortly after I got here." It'd been a long time, and he hadn't seen her in far too long. Maybe he should try to get in touch.
He listened to the conversation, chuckling and shaking his head. This was all almost funny to him, really. If he hadn't seen what the Doctor had shown him, he might feel very differently about what they were all saying now, but as it stood, he just felt once more how ironic it was that he had been thrust knee deep into this place full of all the things he'd spent so much time arguing must be real.
Jack relaxed instinctively as he saw Romana... accept him, much as the Rani had. It was a relief, because he couldn't help but hate people feeling he was wrong.
When Eric spoke, he relaxed even further. Perhaps the vampire's obvious sense of superiority could be useful here. "If you would be willing to try to keep the other vampires in check, that would be - well, it would be fantastic," he smiled, though there was a shadow behind his eyes. "I... don't seem to have done very well at that so far," he admitted uncomfortably.
He nodded to Mulder with a faint smile. "So you're aware of Torchwood and all the odd stuff, then," he confirmed. "Sorry, I think I missed you saying what it was that you do?"
