Erik had not really planned to show, but seeing he *was* a sheriff of Area 5, he decided he should to at least represent the vampires. he knew there were more then one.
He entered the room, looking around. Alone. Hm, so much for others to show. Bored, he moved over and sat down. He had used the rest of his trueblood, so he hoped Sookie was game for sharing herself.
As soon as Dairine had gotten the transmission about organizing things, she'd gone down to see what was happening. She wasn't technically one of the law enforcement people who'd been mentioned, but she figured they could use her help. It would be nice to be part of something organized, as opposed to running all around whenever she thought people needed help.
This was all, of course, assuming that they would let her participate at all. Which was probably a pretty big assumption. With this in mind, she put on her sweetest face before she entered the room. At the very least, she'd look like she was a good kid. She hoped.
Spot, her computer, following at her heels quietly, she entered the room. There was only one other man in there, and she hadn't met him before. She nodded at him, selected a chair for herself, and sat down.
Honestly, Eric sucked at judging ages of people. He could never tell if a fangbanger was 15 or 16, or even 16 or 18. Human age were just, surpassing him now. But he did not judge after appearance. After all, some of the strongest, oldest vampires he knew looked like children.
He liked human children better then he did the adults. Not in any weird way, but that in sense, the children thought about thing straight out, instead of making too much fuss about it.
And a.. walking computer? That was new. And Eric had just gotten used to the Iphone. "Seems we are so far the only ones showing up." He spoke to her in a bored fashion.
"Special Branch," Romana murmured to herself, thinking that this seemed like the correct room for her to enter. After all, being an ex Madame President along with her experience with other Universes seemed in their own cases special.
As she walked through the doors her blue hues met those of a young woman, and a older man who both seemed to interest her by just being present.
"Hello," The way she spoke was almost like one of a teacher greeting a class, "I believe others are bound to show, but at the moment, it seems that yes, we are the only ones who've shown up." She responded overhearing him as she decided to take a seat.
"It seems that way," Dairine said a bit sarcastically. Then she remembered the whole looking 'obedient' and 'good' idea and tried to play it off as a joke by smiling.
She didn't get much further because then a woman walked in and started speaking.
"I'm Dairine," Dairine said, figuring that an introduction was both 'obedient' and 'good.' "And this is Spot," she continued, patting his case.
"Well, nice to meet you Dairine and Spot. My name's Romana," She responded promptly, surprised that someone in this castle was capable of manners. It didn't matter how small or young this Dairine was, she seemed to quickly gain Romana's respect.
Turning her head to the other man, she replied, "I'm one of the last of my species," There was a moment when Romana couldn't help but to turn to Ms. Dairine. It seemed to Romana that the young woman believed herself to be special, so chances were that Dairine may very well be. As primitive as she used to think Humans to be(if these people were humans) they all had something quite impressive about them.
Dairine, despite her curiosity, let the 'last of my species' comment slide. It would be rude to ask about it if it was true. And she was inclined to believe it, even though this woman definitely looked human. The universes worked in strange ways.
As for the other guy, she was used to be questioned, but there was no reason to be so snippy about it. She bit back her first, somewhat biting, response and went for the simple, but curt, "I'm on errantry."
Probably he wouldn't know what errantry was. Maybe he'd think it was special enough.
It was still something he couldn't say out loud, or even to himself, but it was enough to keep Mulder from almost not going to the meeting: Scully was gone.
Gone the way so many people had just up and vanished from the place without a word of goodbye or a flash of light or anything at all.
Just... gone.
This wasn't the same as when she'd died previously - it was just an eerie sense of emptiness. But he couldn't just sit around stew in it, and maybe, just maybe, if they all put their heads together, they find some answers about what happened to the people who were here one day and gone the next.
The gathered group thus far was small, and he couldn't even pretend to be surprised.
"Did I miss the pass the orange segment?" he asked dryly upon answering, defaulting to banter because he was comfortable there. "Look ma, no hands."

He looked at Romana unblinking, his eyes trailing to her neck, wondering how the 'last of her species' tasted. "Ah, And I am the last Viking. We are *such* a pair." he smirked a bit, showing fangs, his attention pulled back to Dairine as she spoke.
"I don't know what that is." Eric said flatly, just blinking at her. Why lie about something he had no idea what was at all? He crossed his arms looking at her. "And I'd ask for an explanation, but I am really not all that interested in knowing either."
he looked up as Mulder entered. Ah. This was a normal human. Unless he was the 'last of his species too' God he hoped not. he refused to starve on this God forsaken place.
With a turn of her head Romana asked Dairine, "Really? At such a young age," Romana was impressed, "...Though, I'm not sure if you're as young as you appear. But, errantry..." Okay, she was slightly more impressed than she should be.
You see, there are very few things in the universe that have the capability of frightening Romana, and it just seemed that vampires just happened to be one of them. "We are aren't we?" Romana replied, teeth clenched, trying her hardest to be kind.
"Excuse me, what?" The Time Lady asked, terribly confused at the statement of their new guest. Humans and their many lingos and slang, seemed to leave her baffled at times. "...How about I just say welcome?" Romana decided to say. Why did she always wind up with the mad ones?
Dairine didn't like Eric's attitude and in another situation she might have said so. Instead, she ignored him and smiled at Mulder.
Then she turned back to Romana and said, "Well, younger means more powerful, which was necessary at the time." She was referring to her Ordeal in a backhanded sort of way, figuring that Romana would know what she was talking about. In actuality, her power levels had dropped off a lot since her Ordeal, but that was how things went. She shrugged. There were wizards more powerful than her, and it was sort of embarrassing when people brought up how young she'd started.
Jack was late for the meeting. He'd actually considered not going and just staying in his room and wallowing instead, but unfortunately he couldn't get rid of his sense of duty that easily. So he'd dragged himself up and got himself down to the ground floor, glancing at the labels on the doors until he'd found one that might suit.
He wasn't looking his best by any means - pale, drawn, tired and jittery - and his entrance was far more subdued than usual. He just walked in quietly, smiled at Dairine, squinted at Eric, and nodded to Romana and Mulder whom he didn't know, and took a seat.
Eric was about to reply when the 'phone' gave a sound, and he turned away to listen at the message, and replying to it. "Seems someone took an apple from the Garden." he said amused. "Anyone feeling guilty?"
Jack raised his eyebrows, curiosity temporarily overcoming his apathy, and he dug out his own phone and listened quickly to the Confessor Fox’s message and a few of the replies. “Huh,” he said at last, leaning back in his seat and putting his phone away. “Well, I guess it’s nice to have a couple more clues as to why we’re here, at least.”
He glanced across at Eric again, his attention drawn instinctively to the man Isaack had said was a vampire. “Sorry, I never did get your name while we were stuck in the hospital together,” he said mildly, trying to conceal his interest in the other man by asking an innocuous question.
