Troy had recovered as much as he could from getting impaled by a unicorn. He still could not do very much, and running or lifting things was impossible. He had managed to make his way back to the castle a few days after Jack had left, and were trying to remember where the kitchen was. He had taken human form to be able to clean the wound better, and wrap a bandade around it, before shrugging on a blue t-shirt and some jeans. The long silvery hair had been pulled back into a ponytail ( ... )

His attempt to look friendly failed, because the moment Brooke laid eyes on him, she stopped walking. Her eyes fell instantly to the markings on his face and she took a couple steps backwards. The question was nice enough, but it didn't do anything to help her calm down.

In fact, it just made her that much more frightened.

Swallowing around the fear in her throat, Brooke's hand tightened around the strap of her purse. As she stared silently at the man, she tried to remember if she had anything weapon-like in her purse. Unless she counted her keys, she didn't.

But he didn't know that.

"Don't come any closer," she said, trying and probably failing to mask the fear in her voice. "I have a weapon in my purse and I'm not afraid to use it."

Troy frowned in confused at her reaction. He had tried to smile and seem friendly, like Jack had said, still yet this woman reacted with obvious fear. Perhaps a smile was dangerous for her culture. "I am not intending to harm you. I am Troy." he did not smile now, incase that meant some harmful thing to her.

'Not intending to harm you' my ass. Normally she would have voiced a thought like that, but she didn't really think that pissing this guy off would do her any good. There was no way she was going to just trust his word, though. For all she knew, he was the one that decided to bring her here.

"Troy, great," she said sarcastically. Considering she had no idea what he wanted from her, Brooke wasn't exactly in a name-exchanging mood and, thus, didn't voice hers. "Knowing your name is really helpful. Thanks."

The sarcasm did not surpass Troy, and he gave a snort. "Being polite is pointless when you are rude back." His pale blue eyes had an icy look to them. "You were tricked here, just like everyone else, girl." He drew a breath, at the same time inhaling her scent, and storing it in his memories.

She smelled sweet.

"Giving ones name usually suggest that one want to know a name back." he was biting back angry comments, and bite back the word 'bitch', but Troy had a hot temper, and he was feeling his patience was running low.

Brooke just glared at him for a moment before responding, "Sorry I'm too busy freaking out to be polite." The second thing he said sent more fear running along her spine and she swallowed hard; why would she have been tricked into coming here? It didn't make any sense, and she certainly didn't know anyone who would do something like this.

She considered just walking past him, but she didn't really feel like seeing if he would hold her back or not. So she took a breath and frowned, deciding that maybe being a little less of a bitch might actually do her some good. "It's Brooke. Can you explain the whole surprise kidnapping to me now, or do you need my last name, too?"

Troy did not quite understand the concept of a last name, and why it was needed, but he did not ask, instead he still stared at her unblinking. Much like a wolf would. After all, a blink, or looking away was a sign of submission, and there were no way he was going to submit to anyone. Troy would live an alpha wolf, and die like one. "I don't know how to explain it. I, like you were tricked here. Or rather, I woke up here. Before I woke up here, I was dying in a cold forest. I woke up here, still dying, but a woman saved me, took out the bullet." he lifted his shirt to show the still pink scar, also revealing he was bandaged across the belly and abdomen. He did not like to admit it was a human female that had saved him, but he could not lie either. Lying was not in his nature.

"And from what I have gathered, I am not the only one. The ones here all seem to be under the same condition. They were tricked here."

The way he was just staring at her made her really uncomfortable, and she shifted under his gaze. It certainly didn't help the fear that was still wrapped tightly around her stomach, either. When he lifted his shirt, Brooke's eyes grew wide at the sight of his scar and the bandages.

Either this place was dangerous, or this guy liked looking for trouble. Both options scared her even more, and she took a tentative step backwards. She wanted to look around and see if there was anyone else she could talk to, but taking her eyes off him didn't seem like the smartest thing to do.

"So, what? We're all stuck here because some sicko wants to keep us for his collection or something?" The edge to her voice was no longer bitchiness, but instead confusion and the fear that was racing through her veins. "That doesn't make any sense!"

"I dont know. I was dying when I came here, I was saved, so I will not complain. I have nothing to go home to." He still stared at her. "I cannot understand why we are here either, but this is a dangerous place. Staying inside the castle seems to be the safest." he looked around. "It is quite big. I am sure you will find a room to stay in. There is also a kitchen with all types of food wanted."

Really, Gaius kept telling himself, things could have been so much worse. They had been, after all, before he came here - at least here no one seemed specifically to want him dead. And if he had to choose, he would greatly prefer this vague feeling of foreboding to the knowledge of some certain imminent attack on his life.

So, between a mysterious host, an abundance of Lee Adama clones, and the occasional wolf in the kitchen intent on mauling the guests, he couldn't find too much to complain about.

And, he thought as he caught sight of the woman he'd heard talking up ahead, there were definitely some perks here as well. He put on a smarmy look that he thought particularly charming (and really, so did a surprising amount of women back home), and made his approach.

"Yeah, well, I have a lot I'd like to go home to." Troy was trying to be helpful, deep down she knew that, but all it did was make her panic even more. Really, she would've preferred to not know that the entire place was dangerous. "I don't want a room to stay in, I want to go home!"

When Troy looked away, Brooke decided that it would probably be the only chance to get away from him - she still wasn't convinced he was going to help her - and started walking away from him. But then she caught sight of someone else walking towards them and she stopped mid-step.

"Great," she muttered, glancing between Troy and the other guy. Please, please, please don't try to kill me. "Do you know him?" She glanced back at Troy again, unsure if she wanted his answer to be a 'yes' or a 'no'.

Troy looked up, his whole body tensing at the scent of another, and his blue eyes fixated on that of Gaius. "Yes". his voice was strained, obviously ready to spring. "I have seen him before, but I do not know him." his voice lowered in tone as he stepped up to protect Brooke. After all, she was a female, and Troy was an alpha. it was his duty to protect her from other males.

He had seen Gaius briefly when Troy had bit Dorian. The man had cowered like a rabbit and ran away at the same speed.

Gaius frowned slightly when the other man took up an obviously defensive stance. Had he walked in on a lover's spat of some kind? If so, the woman certainly had some... questionable taste, he thought, as he surveyed the strange looking man.

"Pardon. Am I ... interrupting something?" he asked hesitantly.

Brooke was secretly glad that Troy had stepped in front of her. If things got ugly between these two, which his tone suggested it might, she could just run in the opposite direction. It would mean leaving her belongings behind, but it was a small price to pay.

"Maybe," she said as she moved slightly to see around Troy. She stayed behind him, even though the other man looked more normal and, thus, would probably be able to calm her better than Troy did. "If you're here to kidnap me - again - and throw me into some creepy basement area, then yeah, you are."

"I doubt he will kidnap anyone.," Troy snorted. "He is a coward of the first degree." He remembered how he had fled. "He flee from people in need." Troy straightned more up, blue wolf eyes staring at Gaius. "I will not harm you." He spoke low, forcing a smile. Still not very good at those.

Gaius raised an eyebrow at that.

"That's not generally my idea of a good first impression, no," he said, but cut off at the man's rude remark and looked at him with a somewhat outraged and confused expression. How in the world did he know about...

"I haven't the faintest idea what you mean." Though he was quite certain he did know what event was being referenced.
