Donna knew she should sleep; her earlier attempt had left her more tired than when she'd collapsed into the canopied bed, and Gene had told her she looked about as good as Death warmed over. However, she simply tossed and turned, unable to get comfortable even though the bed was perfectly lovely. She was plagued by thoughts of what the fox had told her - what had it meant by "worlds will burn"? Which worlds? Wasn't there just the one? And what of those people who'd left her messages, claiming to know her? Who were they and what did they know? How could they know her? What was it that woman had said? Something about aliens and potatoes? Thinking about it all gave her a terrible headache, but then, so did not thinking about it.

Giving a nap up as a bad job, she threw the coverlet off and stepped back into the heels she'd found at the hotel - she really needed to find her luggage. Carefully avoiding her reflection in the mirror over the vanity, she slipped out of the bedroom, closing the door carefully behind her. Perhaps as soon as she'd collected her suitcase, found some fresh clothes and shoes that didn't pinch her toes, she could return and relax a bit.
