Snow, to Kate it was this elusive magical creature that blanketing the ground with invisible diamonds. Something about it always made Kate feel better; not that she’d encountered it many times before, the only things she knew for sure: don’t eat the yellow parts and it would eventually fade.
Possibly it was living on the island under the relentless heat, maybe it was the fact that all things are fleeting. If Kate had learned anything by now, it was not to have regrets. Perhaps it was because she was incredibly lonely, even for her new friends. The probability was she was Castle-bound and needed some alone time.
Searching she found adequate clothes, her outlandish winter outfit made her look all the more beautiful.
Like a child she walked outside, looking for that perfect place. She chose not to wander far, and to talk the opposite way than she’d first come to the Castle.
Not far, there was a snow bank calling her name. Taking a few steps back, she ran jumping into the mound. Stupid really, there could have many any number of things that could injure her. Luck was on her side. Standing, she moved to a pristine part of the snow, carefully she lay down creating a snow angel.
