James was not a fool. Not normally. Especially not after the war. Anyone who was a fool under the new regime tended to get wiped out quicker than one could blink. He thought with his head, not his heart, or so he thought. Apparently not, though, if he was going to go running to restart a Revolution and get into a flippin' helicopter just because he received a ticket that invited him to do so. Did he not think? He could have hit himself, especially when said helicopter deposited him on the grounds of some old, medieval castle and then departed. No, actually, then, he could have spent five minutes slamming his head into a wall. If there had been a wall next to him, he probably would have done exactly that.

Still, one couldn't say that James wasn't resourceful. He quickly checked that his weapons were still on him - gun and knife - and the turned around in a circle, looking around him and checking to make sure the area was clear. The war had taught him too much about being taken unawares. This was a government trap; it was obvious now. But if it was, why hadn't agents rushed out and disarmed him by now? Why take him to a castle? And for that matter, where in the world did the dictatorship get a huge freaking castle in the first place? Too many questions, and apparently, no answers unless he went inside to explore. The grounds were eerily quiet, and James didn't like it at all.

He wasn't stupid enough to go into the castle, though. He was a fool, but not that much of a fool. Maybe they were just waiting for him inside the castle. It didn't make any sense, but the dictatorship was just made up of idiots, in James's opinion. Extremely lucky idiots, but idiots all the same. They were bound to make a mistake some time or another. James would just have to wait until they did. In the meantime, though, he'd have to figure out what the hell to do about this castle. He couldn't just stand around here forever, and it didn't look like the helicopter was going to come back.

So that left exploring. James pulled his gun out of its holster and held it in front of him cautiously. Then, he sighed and changed his mind. A tiny gun wasn't going to do anything against five or ten or more agents. So he put it away. Best get this over with. At least he wouldn't be taken by surprise when he got into the castle. "If you're here to arrest me, I suggest you get on with it," he said loudly. "I know you're watching. I don't know what the hell you're playing at, but I don't have time for games. So just arrest me, then. What are you? Cowards?" The last sentence would definitely provoke any agents watching.

James just wanted something to happen.
