Notes: Dorian has decorated the dining hall sparingly, not being skilled at it, with fabric draping and flowers from the greenhouses. Similarly, flowers adorn tables pushed against the walls. Between Ginia’s help and the castle’s mysterious provisional abilities, there are a variety of light hors d’oeuvre type dishes along the walls. No organized meal will be served because Dorian just can’t manage it without staff.
Dorian being Dorian, he wasted no time in locating some of the more exotic plants in the green house and there are various hookah-type pipes in the corners of the room, surrounded by pillows the gentleman stole from the various sitting rooms and contain general opiates. There are ample cigarettes on trays throughout the room. Dorian has also raided the castle cellar for fine wine and strong liquor, including red and green absinthes with the proper serving implements.
Those who have the means to provide music are welcome to do so.
The Catch: This is the Masque of the Red Death: The infected dog is going to be at this party, moving inconspicuously among the guests. It is up to you to decide if your character becomes infected as a result of this, but the idea of the masquerade is to infect as many people as possible.
Dorian is got up-unsurprisingly-- as a peacock in a suit of glimmering green velvet and blue jacquard, wearing a plague-doctor style mask painted in jewel-tones. There is a an impressive gardenia in his buttonhole, denoting a tone of revelry and in one arm he held an arrangement of red roses and red carnations, the message in those flowers intended for one of his expected guests. He waited there at the door, greeting his guests as they entered before moving among them to socialize.
