An update! Hooray! Ah, and I am so glad to see some understanding and respect from Gimli at last. Interesting that it is he who makes the first move toward understanding here . . . and appropriate, I think. Legolas has far too many people demanding far too much of him for him to have the luxury in mind or spirit of being generous to others.

Gimli's apology was overdue, although he could hardly have made it earlier, either. He has to come quite some way, still, but at least he started on it. And it was him who had to make the first move - after what he threatened to do to Legolas' loved ones, Legolas would not have sought any attempt to bridge the gap, himself. But it is true, our Dwarf has come a long way... as has Boromir. :)

The scene with Boromir was just beautiful. Hot, yes, but tender and loving and gentle. I had some wicked shivers thinking that Aragorn was witness to it -- he may not have seen anything, but he surely could hear and knew what was happening. My goodness, is he a masochist or what?

Thank you! I am glad you liked it, despite the serious adverb alert. As for Aragorn - I wonder about that, too. Somebody said to me that in every sadist, there is some masochistic streak, and the other way round. I am not sure. But Aragorn really seems willing not to spare himself, here.

I don't know if he's being more hurtful to himself or to Legolas here. I can understand why he can't bear to stay back and watch Legolas go off alone with Boromir . . . but he isn't doing anyone any favors this way.

I think that Aragorn has still to learn a great many things before this story is over. He really does wish to do the best for his slave - but unfortunately, there is that old saying about good intentions...

Boromir has really come a long way in this story. He is showing more understanding, respect, and tenderness toward Legolas than anyone else, even Gandalf. His understanding of Legolas' guilt was a masterstroke.

Thank you!

I know a confrontation has to come between Aragorn and Boromir -- knowing what he does of Aragorn, I can't imagine Boromir supporting his claim to Gondor's throne

Hmm. Then again, there is hardly any alternative. But we'll see. Boromir has not seen Lothlorien, yet!

Thank you again for your great review! It truly made my day!
