Thank you for the praise. It took me month to write this chapter, and when it was finished, I was convinced that it did not work. I am glad it does!
and isn't Legolas confused, now? And how will Aragorn react, especially if he senses Legolas' gratitude/response to Boromir's tenderness?
You can say that again. I fear, Aragorn's plan to have Boromir feed the spell so *he* could concentrate more on tenderness has a few flaws he didn't really counted on...
It is gratifying to see Legolas accepted by the other warriors of the Company, but I think these two (Boromir, Gimli) are going to be in for quite a bit of culture shock once they hit the Golden Wood.
And how! Gimli might maybe somehow still manage to find a way to excuse Galadriel of any bad occurrences, one way or another; People do strange things when they are besotted. But I do not think he or Boromir will particularly like the Golden Wood.
The question is, will it break over Aragorn's treatment of Legolas *before* they reach the Golden Wood, or will it break *after* they arrive at the Golden Wood, where Legolas will surely be forced to perform as slave?
All I can say is: we'll see. First, as we know, the company has to meet a cave troll. Among other things. But I do think Aragorn's situation has not really improved in regard of his fellow warriors, so far...
I confess that you've got me intrigued over the reference to the mithril armor. (...) Are you going to tease us with this now, or are we eventually going to find out what awful memory Legolas is trying to suppress?
I may use the scene at some point. However, the idea is recycled from MTD. I can't promise I will elaborate on it again; but then, I may. We shall see. :)
Thank you for your favorable and thorough review! When I went online this morning and found it in my mailbox, it really made my day!
