I haven't been able to read all of these flashback because they are a little to much for me, but I'm here with you as the story continues. There is going to be some relief soon, isn't there?

Hi,Pecos!
Glad you are still with me! I'm sorry the graphic BDSM got too much... But while you probably better skip the prvious chapter (Master and Slave II) to avid intense graphic descriptions, you should be rather safe with this one (Master and Slave III), because save for a short memory of the night before - three short paragraphes fairly at the start - there is nothing very graphic here. This chapter focus mainly on talk, and mostly skip the direct action. (Mostly...) And it's crucial to Estel's transformation into Aragorn.

Anyway, I am done with the flashbacks now for a while, and the one I have still planned for later in the story will be rather nice, so it should be safe ennough to read on from now. I will give a fair warning when it get's nasty again, promised! I'm glad you are still reading!

Thank you for your comment again,
Aislynn

I did read the current chapter, and found it very good, as always! I just wanted to fess up that I had to step out during the worst of the Elf abuse because I'm a big old pussy when it comes to Legolas hitting. My bad. Your warnings are quite adequate and very much appreciated.

And so it begins. I knew that the ceremony must have been something like that, but it is a fiendishly clever twist to make it Estel himself who traps them into this bind of torment being necessary to feed the spell. You turn his very loyalty and bravery against both him and Legolas. . . it's so sad, and cruel and brilliant all at once. You also show Estel's gradual descent into cruelty very well. It's perfectly believable that under those conditions even the best of men would give way to temptation. After all he had no one to tell him that it was wrong.

Thank you so much for this powerful and intense story. I'm enjoying every minute of it.

Hi, Lamiel!

And another wonderful comment to die for... thank you!!!

I was intent on showing that Estel did not just woke up one day and decided he was a sadist... and I had drafted the scene when his noble, heroic gesture got it all wrong as early as last august. It had to be something as iladvised and foolish and as lovely and dearly noble as that for Legolas still loving Estel as he does, despite everything... Poor star-crossed lovers.

Anyway. Thank you for your wonderful comment again, and Cheers,

Aislynn (who finally went and reviewed 'This Present Darkness. I'm good now!) :-)

I must say this is one of the most captivating stories I have ever read, even though it rips my heart to pieces. You are a master of psychological nuances, pulling the reader right in and making them watch in morbid fascination as the drama unfolds. It's all frighteningly believable - an elaborate metaphor showing how easy it is to fall into an abusive relationship, especially with someone you love...

Thank you for your praise! It was important to me to make Estel's change into Aragorn plausible and believable - and to make clear that he did not simply decided to be a monster, but slipped down the slope to what he is now with the best of intentions, and fighting all the way. Yet, there is also a part of him which likes the situation as it is now. After all, his desires have been twisted into the way of sadism and dominance, and while he still would prefer to have a choice, he also perceives Legolas' serving his needs as his right by now, and does not think it odd to punish his slave if he defies him.
And still, Legolas loves Aragorn... despite Aragorn being abusive now.
And yet, while Aragorn has no choice, he still cares enough to do everything in his power to keep the situation at least bearable for Legolas - as much as he can, that is....

Thank you for your wonderful comments again! I really apreciate them!

Coming of age has many hidden meanings here! Ah, so tragic that Estel seals his own fate by drinking the potion. Poor Legolas, rendered speechless and unable to warn him!

You really know how to up the ante, don't you???

And so the evil grows....

Hi!
Weeeeellll... there had to be a reason that sweet, loving, caring, honorous and valorous Estel developed into the Aragorn we see bnow in the present times of this fic. I felt that it was not just a matter of weakness. after all, this is *Aragorn* we are talking about, and legolas still loves him, in spite of everything. There had to be a reason for that. This is part of it.

Anyway. I am very flattered and very glad to receive your comment! Especially right now, when I have been struck with some kind of writer's block for weeks. It really does a lot to spurn me on again! :-)

Thank you!
