I'll be honest, it took a while for me to figure about what I thought this worked to... Because to be honest, I am not a sexual person. I'm more a sensual person. I believe sex comes after marriage, though I'm willing to explore the concept of open fidelity with my fiance.
However, the thought came to me about the drama that is the Vagina Monologues. The Vagina Monologues came about as a method of sexual healing. Most women in today's culture don't see their bodies as sacred like in ancient religions. Slowly these days this is changing, but it will take time quite a bit of time for female-centered beliefs to flourish in our very patriarchal society.
I'm open about my body even proud of it, though I'm not sexual. I believe in reclaiming old traditions and having faith in everyone as humans, though sometimes it may be tough. I'm learning. We're all learning how to find ourselves.
And learning to accept who you are tends to be the first step in healing anything.
