Ugh...

So the new X Director has been rumored to be narrowed down to two names: John Moore and Brett Ratner. Let me put this into perspective for you. According to rottentomatoes.com, the original X-Men film scored at about 80% freshness, while X2 hit with 87%.

Bret Ratner has directed movies such as the Rush Hour movies, Red Dragon, Little Nicky, and After the Sunset. I'm too lazy to figure out his average freshness rating, but his only film with a good freshness rating is Red Dragon and it was only at 68%. His most recent After the Sunset had a whopping 16%.

John Moore has directed films such as Behind Enemy Lines and Flight of the Phoenix. The average for this one is easy: 33%.

Now
This hasn't really been confirmed (only by spies in the studio), but I sincerely hope it is a rumor. I mean, the best film out of all the ones the two have done is Red Dragon. And more likely than not, if this is true, it will probably be Ratner because Chris Tucker just dropped out of Rush Hour 3 so that film has fallen apart which means that Ratner is definitely free at the moment. elch, it just all leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Anyway, I just watched the video for Helena which you can find at http://music.channel.aol.com/artist/main.adp?artistid=533805. Its just so great that it momentarily takes away the sting of Ratner.

Anyway, I think I'm leaving early to today so I can go with Heather to Staten Island and adopt a puppy. The way the day is going, I'll definitely need that puppy. Until later,
