Oh man..THIS...This is a scene..one scene from TVD which practically wrenched my heart.

I really really loved what you said. And agree with it.
Plus Elena's face is like a sheet with ALL the emotions written on it in this few scenes, when Damon confesses.

And then...Damon's Face!!

What can I say....

When this episode came out, I had a really tough time digesting everything, because I was already stressed and exhausted because of personal drama, and then THIS, and I had no one to talk or exclaim or shout to....so it took a bad tole on me.
But nonetheless it is..... memorable.

And yes this.... One of the things I love about the way memory-erasing compulsion works on this show is that the emotions do not change. Damon's words affected Elena, and, even though she may never remember what he said, she will never forget the way he made her feel.

This is something very wonderful about this show.
Compulsion makes you forget a memory, but the feelings stays, and those feelings otherwise compels you to feel and realize situations and people's differently. It's confusing for the one who gets compelled. But for us... this fact of lingering feelings, gives us hope.

Yeah, that's why I am on LJ, so I can talk to people who love the show as much as I do.

Yes, definitely. Damon's words really made Elena see him differently, and no compulsion is going to erase that.

Thanks for the comment!
