Cracked. My. Shit. Up.
I was laughing so hard I was crying at some points. I laughed so hard at McLovin's "I've got a boner!" that I choked on my jelly beans. I loved all the random, surreal moments like Seth imaging the various scenarios of what could happen if he stole liquor or Evan singing for the cokeheads. But I swear I was the only person who laughed at the $80 bill. I don't think the rest of the people in the audience got that those do not exist. I also loved that the characters had the names of the real life writers(Seth and Evan). That just made me happy, like the actors using their real names in Knocked Up.
Michael Cera is so goddamned adorable that I want to make him my husband. He was so awkward and sweet. I couldn't help but "awwwww" at a lot of the things he said and did. I loved the dry comments he would just insert into conversation "Way too tight. You need to upgrade." or telling his phone he was going to bitch slap it.
Now sadly, the cons: As funny as Jonah Hill was, I can see him becoming really really really obnoxious. In some scenes I couldn't keep up with him because he was talking so fast. And I hate to say this about my bb, but Michael Cera was essentially playing George Michael with a filthier mouth. I want to see him spread his ~acting wings~ more. I didn't really love the ending either. I hate to say it, but I would have preferred them not getting the girls. Idk, it just seemed so much more realistic. I think they should have taken that last part at the mall out(even though I loved the pants shopping part)and had the movie end with them sleeping over at Evan's house. "Boop!"
But overall, awesome. Totally awesome.
