I have no idea what my title is all about. I typed the letter "R" into the subject line, and that's what popped up on auto complete. Great, huh? Well, it's good, because I can't think of anything I would've titled this entry anyway...
I suppose it makes some sense, since right now all I'm doing is watching a bunch of geeks playing something called "Generals" with all their computers hooked together. Well, they're not actually playing yet...they're really just getting set up, but I imagine it'll be craziness once they get started. They all stare at the screen like it's about to explode and shout things at each other, even though they're not two feet away from the person they're shouting at. You'd think it'd be amusing or even slightly interesting to watch, but really, it's not. I promise you. I've had to watch it enough times.
But I really have nothing else to do, so I'm stuck here, using Mark's lappy. I did bring my back pack with me, though. So I am armed with the following:
1. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (I've been slowly working my way through the HP books so that I can read all 7 in order. Hey, I had to do something to get my mind off of Eclipse. More about that in a minute.)
2. The Notebook. The ultimate friend of the writer. This notebook currently contains 8 pages of what will be chapter 50 (or is it 51 now?) of Two Captains. Hurrah. I don't have any inspiration, as yet, however, so that is why I'm typing on livejournal.
3. Two Captains, recently transported to a shiny, more durable new binder.
4. My binder full of novel notes (40 pages, baby! of just plot and character outlines. hurrah!)
5. The iPod. My new best friend. Which is currently playing PotC:3. How's that for inspiration? It's on shuffle, too, so it must be in one of those rare moods where it anticipates my whim. How nice.
And that's all, I guess, except for a good pen and my cell phone. Not that anyone will call. I'm trapped here until the geeks decide they no longer want to shoot on another.
See you in four or five hours, I guess.
