London Sings

The air was sharp and cutting deeply into her face as she walked to the front of the school.
"I can't believe that she forgot. I told her so many times, I told her last night, this morning, I even called her earlier about it." She said outloud watching her breath swirl around and wiping a stray tear from her cheek. She looked around. It was beautiful. Everything had a shiny layer of frost and there was mist, when was the last time you got mist and frost? It hung low in the air creating a Jack-the-Ripper feel to the whole town. "All I need now is for someone to walk up behind me and whisper in my ear." She thought to herself as she turned to check behind her. "Paranoid? No, never." She laughed as she quickened her pace. "It's like I'm unimportant to her." She sat down infront of one of the gigantic granite pillers that framed the entrance of the school and let the fog conceal her.
