[Kenshin is having a good dream. Calm, peaceful--simply sitting on the landing of the Kamiya dojo watching Kaoru train Yahiko.]

[No blood. No snow. Nothing but calm.]

[It's a long awaited and long needed change.]

[There was something that was very alien and yet eerily familiar about her surroundings. Wandering, she had no idea where she had ended up. She only knew that it was peaceful and so she didn't entirely mind.

But then she spots someone familiar.]

Oh... Is that you, Kenshin?

Oro?

[Looks away from the training session to see who had just called him.]

Oh, hello Shoukei-dono. [Doesn't question why she is in Tokyo or in their courtyard at all~]

[About the same time there's a call from the gate and a tall gangly looking man with spiky brown hair and a coat with the character for 'evil' on the back makes and entrance, stating something about finding food, and proceeds walk right past them and into the dojo--the training interrupted for a moment as Kaoru makes a crack about him being a freeloader.]

[Kenshin smiles, still addressing Shoukei even with everything going on in the background.] What brings you here?

[He is most certainly not aware he is dreaming...]

[He's casual acceptance that she's there confuses her. Was she still in the City? She had been very certain she had left it ages ago, but maybe... Shaking her head, Shoukei isn't sure but she goes with it. Things seem very nice here, so why ruin it? And Kenshin looked happy.]

Oh... I don't know. I was just taking a walk. I guess I wandered here.

[She watches the people and the commotion. They seemed like people who were important to this place. Perhaps... to Kenshin, then?] Are they your friends?

Ah, sou ka. [He smiles, then looks to the training session again.]

Hai, hai. That's Kaoru-dono and Yahiko. Kaoru-dono is this unworthy one's wife. Yahiko is her student. [And in all reality their surrogate brother/son]

[And from inside somewhere the other man makes a jab at Kaoru's cooking--and Kenshin smiles nervously] That is Sanosuke--he's a little brash, but he's a good man.

Oh, I see... [She leans back against the wooden railing, bending her arms behind her back and watching the commotion. A small smile appears across her face as she watches. She seemed almost nostalgic as she watches.]

They seem like a nice family.

[He nods, still looking calm.]

This unworthy one isn't sure what he would do without them anymore.

[Other than the fact that he's had to live essentially alone in the City for some time now... but that isn't quite the point.]

[She nods.] I can understand. I'm glad you can be with them now.

[Even if, Shoukei was beginning to suspect, this wasn't real. It had to be some kind of illusion. How else could she be here?]

[Nods, pleasantly.]

[Happy Kenshin is happy! And not tormenting himself for once!]

[THIS IS THE POWER OF CLOSURE!!!]

Shoukei smiles and straightens, giving a polite bow.]

I won't intrude. I suppose I'll just... be on my way now.
