DOGGEH IS HOME NAO
Yeah, so the cute Dachshund/Cocker Spaniel mix I've been talking about? Harley's been home with us for two days, and it's a little overwhelming but TOTALLY AWESOME. She's the quietest dog EVER--the most sounds she's made were an all-purpose whining noise and a growl at her reflection.
She also stares at the birds a lot--because, you know, Cocker spaniels were bred as gundogs. Not the chase-and-kill ones, just the ones that scared up or marked where the birds were so the hunter could shoot them himself. She froze up with her head pointing at the birds, like a pointer that doesn't actually point!
Yeah, the birds don't like that.
Also, I think I'm developing a chest cold because of the sudden crap-tastic weather. Due to the unfortunate timing of my symptoms starting just as Harley comes home, Mom says I might be allergic to dogs. If I can spend four hours playing with three dogs with no problems (aside from not being used to the dog-smell), and barely survive half an hour with my lungs intact because of one cat in the room, I think I know what my body's allergic to.
She's also kind of a picky eater. She'll only eat ham or chicken and rice.
