An ode to friends
This is for my friends, one and all
The ones who'd be there for me if ever I should fall
Your friendships mean the world to me
And I'm writing this so that all of you can see
Tara, I don't even know where to begin or what I should say
I can't even tell you how much my life as changed since that very first day
You've brought a beauty and love into my world that I only could've dreamed
And each and every day I do my best to show you just how much you mean to me
Kyle, how many people get to live and have an awesome twin?
You're not just my brother, you're someone I can always confide in
I envy your passion for music and for playing guitar
God has taken us both from where we could've been to where we are
Alex, of all of my friends, how could I forget you?
No matter how I'm feeling, you're always able to put me in a much better mood
You're truly a good friend, you always had time to laugh and hang out
I think it's sweet how we always have some funny things to talk about
Billy, I haven't known you that long, but I feel as if I've known you forever
I know that a friendship as strong and awesome as ours will never be severed
I feel really lucky to have as hilarious and fun a friend as you
I can't even begin to imagine all the trouble your gonna get me into
Jarrod and Chris, it's crazy to have twin friends like you guys
Some of the stories you tell are insane, I think half of that shit is lies
It's funny to watch you guys because your always so "spur of the moment"
I think in the category of craziest twins, you guys defintaley own it
Derek, you led us in doing some gr8 shit, junior year was a really awesome time
From taking us to Hooters to signing the Bailey's house, you're Def 1 of a kind
It's really too bad that we don't hang out anymore
Cuz of all my friends, u really shared my love of fishing and of the outdoors
Sam, you're Tara's best friend and a great one at that
I dunno what to say next, 'cept you've got a cool boyfriend named Matt
I'm glad that I can always talk to u and u always put things into perspective
And for that I feel very grateful and have a lot of respect
Kristina, you're certainly a unique and crazy girl
You're just what Alex needed to come into his world
It's crazy to think how the 3 of us met you and how you've come to know us
But if it didn't happen, I think you'd agree that things'd be pretty "bogus"
Kolye, you're always very sweet and very kind
And I appreciate how you trust me, to tell me w/e might be on your mind
Fireworks and the party are both great times to look back on
And if I had cooler parents we could've partied until the break of dawn
Judia, I honestly think you're one of the nicest ppl I've ever met
You always have the most wonderful things to say and that's even better yet
I wish I could be like you and travel all over the world
In that respect, I think you're certainly a very lucky girl
And for those of you I didn't have time to mention, you know who you are
If it wasn't for my amazing friends, I don't how I'd of made it this far
God has certainly blessed me with the most wonderful group of friends
And I know he has more in store for me before my journey's end
