Reasons Why Sandra's Life is Amazing Right Now:
1) I discovered Manahan's lurking hickey this morning. Which he had no clue he had on him.
2) Teen Arts was fun.
3) We butchered Tradition. And I don't give a rat's ass.
4) Quality time with my little brother was fun.
5) I had no class today. Minus 15 minutes of "Project X" in Current Topics.
6) Rehearsal for Sandbag wasn't bad. I slept a lot. Busted out my lines. And left.
7) This is the most amazing part of my day...
So I get home from rehearsal, and I'm checking the mail, and I see a big envelope from Syracuse that says "OPEN IMMEDIATELY." So I'm like Oh God what did I do to get kicked out? And I open it, get lost because there's so many papers, finally find the top sheet, and see it's from Financial Aid... At which point my vision goes retarded and all I see at the bottom is:
Syracuse University and Other Aid TOTAL: $24,725.00
HOLY MOTHERFUCKING COW I ONLY HAVE TO PAY $18,725 FOR COLLEGE. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH BETTER THAT IS THAN $43,450? I'LL TELL YOU HOW MUCH BETTER IT IS....
So I see that number, realize what it means, and burst out crying while my cat's trying to eat my leftover lunch from Teen Arts. So yeah.
My Dean's Scholarship is $6,000. I got a University Grant for $9,900. I got a government Pell Grant for $1,400. Perkins Loan was $2,400. Subsidized Stafford Loan was $2,625, and Federal Work Study $2,400 (I didn't know I was going to do work study. Oh, well. Here we go, job in college! Woo!).
Now all I need is to take out a loan for $15,000 or so and I'll be home free.
I have never been so happy in my entire life. Thank you sooooo much, God. So much.
