[The face of a Skiploom is all that fills the screen for a second or two, until Soul catches sight of her playing with the gear.]

Yo -- Sunshine, I told you to leave that thing alone, didn't I?

[But he's laughing a little, since she's bringing it over to him.] What, did you make a friend or something?
Ah -- no, I see. This guy's got a Hoppip.

[Aaaand finally replying to Cruz himself --]

Newest member of the team, huh? They're pretty great when they get stronger.

[Cruz looks shocked for a moment, then his Hoppip also look at the screen to see the Skiploom.]

[A nod!]

Yup. It's called a Skiploom.

Someone showed me a Skiploom's evolved form, too -- that's called a Jumpluff.

They learn a bunch of status stuff when they get older. Like Stun Spore and Poisonpowder and shit. Plus they've got Snythesis -- they can heal themselves, you know?
It's cool. None of my other Pokemon can do stuff like that.

Yeah, it will. 'Swhy I'm training up my Skiploom to be able to take on Falkner. He's the one here in Violet, you know? Pretty tough from what I heard.

Hard work always pays off in the end. If his level is in the thirties, then I'll simply have to be ten times more powerful.

Sounds like the way to go.

Name's Soul by the way. You seem to be the only guy who knows how to go about this gym stuff the right way.

[Since all of his friends don't, in his opinion. :|a]

Same to you, dude.

You'd think. [shrug!]

Ah, well. If we get our badges and they don't, sucks to be them, right?
