[Molly] Who'se there?purplerhinoSeptember 1 2006, 02:25:18 UTC
Molly gestured May to come in. "Chris just made it okay to come in. Tara's awake, but very weak, and she needs fluids and food. In fact, a saline IV wouldn't be wasted on her. She's also going to need this wound tended once one of the medical types have a spare moment. It could most likely use some ointment and a gauze to keep it clean."
Molly had managed to get a little water down Tara, who was sitting upright only because of the hospital bed's attributes. Molly was still a bit on the glowy side, and her pale eyes made her enlarged pupils obvious. If they looked a bit more oval than round it was most likely a trick of the light.
"How long has Claire been going? It can take up to two days with equines once they start."

May opened the door, and was relieved to see Tara and Molly both conscious. Tara looked drained, but she was drinking, and offered May a weak smile as she came in. May let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "Hey, Tara, how you doing?"
"Thirsty," Tara replied faintly.
"Food and water shouldn't be a problem. This place is pretty well stocked. Hang on one second?" May turned and sprinted down the hall to the cafeteria. She found the bottled water immediately and was back a minute later, handing the bottle off to Molly as the redhead asked about Claire's labor.
"Maybe twenty minutes, I'm not sure - the Doctor came in while Isabel was explaining herself to let us know Claire's water broke." May bit back the bitterness in her words at the mention of Isabel. She would deal with that later. "The problem is that Isabel might have induced labor early - she mistook Claire for someone else and threw her into a wall

(OOC: Sorry, had no muses the last day or two.)
Chris wished, not for the first time, that he could heal. However, now wasn't the time to go into that, not when Tara still needed help. "Probably a good idea," he said. "Just... does she need any help?"
Not that he could do the help, but still, it would be considered nice for him to answer.

May sighed, looking at Molly with no small amount of concern. Molly was up, her color was better, but she still looked a tiny bit Day-Glo and her pupils seemed dilated. "Doc Pierson wanted me to check since you mentioned having experience midwiving," she replied finally. "Claire's actually doing fine now - I think you'd need to forcibly drag Damon away from her side, and even that might fail

"Right," Chris said, still frowning. He looked over at Molly. Right now, she and Tara needed his attention. "You go, I expect we'll be right here when you get back."
Molly was still tottery and Tara was still out of it. "Molly, you should rest, too," he told the redhead.

"I'm kinda on a magic buzz, here. Hardly conducive to resting. Tara needs food and liquids. I'll make sure she gets them down." Molly climbed up to the top bunk of the bunkbeds in the room and sat there crouched like a gargoyle... no, more like an imp. "I feel like I can fly. Relax. I'm too sensible to try."
She looked down at Tara and winked. "You'll be fine, sweetie. You managed to save everyone a lot of time and trouble, and possibly even injury or death depending on what was rigged up with that lockdown. So yeah for the kick ass wiccan chick."
"Um... right... liquids and soup... I should go get that... right?"

May almost laughed at Molly's position, as she reminded herself that was something she'd do to prove she was okay. "Okay, okay. I'm convinced. Don't mind me, I'm just channeling my Mom all of a sudden."
She bent down and pulled her backpack out from under the bunk bed, rifling through it and pulling out the cloth and the web-shooters, bundling them up in her arms as best she could so they couldn't really tell what they were. "There's plenty down the hall, if you'll settle for the canned kind. Take it easy, okay, and check in with Daniel when you can?" That was directed at all three of them, of course - Murphy's Law never slept around here. "I'll see you guys later."
