"Who's the man? I'm the man!" echoed down the hallway.

(Ash,) Ripley thought. She ran as fast as Sam's weak, human body would carry her in his direction. The numbnut stood outside the cafeteria doors, chest puffed out, arms flung wide.

Using her momentum to her advantage, Ripley rushed Ash, caught the neck of his shirt in both hands, and slammed him against the wall. The son-of-a-bitch was *taller* than her now.

"Yeah?" Ripley growled. "Well so am I. You did this?!"

"Hey," Ash said, pushing Sam back, "don't think I'm not flattered, but you're not my type."

"And, yeah, I did this," Ash said, poking himself in the chest with a thumb. "You've got your memories back and you have me to thank for it!"

Thanks to her current wimpy body Ash was able to push Ripley back. He was so self-satisfied that he missed her snarl.

"You've got your memories back and you have me to thank for it!" Ash crowed.

Ripley mustered what little patience she had left. "Well, thank you oh so much for restoring my memory, Ash." She began closing the distance between them as she continued. "And since you're so goddamned pleased with yourself you haven't noticed that you're not talking to a British cop." Her voice rose as she finished, "You're talking to Ripley. Originally -- and I do mean *originally* -- " Warrant Officer Ellen Ripley, ident number W5645022460H, and I WANT MY FUCKING BODY BACK!"

Kenzaki was walking around, having no clue as to who the body belonged to - probably another new arrival - and seeing if he could find his own body, or at least something to that effect.

He heard somebody yelling in the corridor and rushed to see what was going on. Ashu-san was looking happy, Sammu-san - one of them, anyway - looking pissed off. He was yelling at Ashu-san, and all Kenzaki really got was the numbers, the word "officer", and "Ripuri".

"Ripuri?" he asked. The voice, while it sounded like Sam's, actually also reminded him of Ripuri's way of talking. "Ripuri? What's going on?"

If it was Ripuri, she was switched the same way he was. Maybe she'd be able to find out what was going on around there, and how to get his body back. And maybe find out what the girl whose body he was in was named.

Ash stared at Sam Tyler as he advanced menacingly. Ripley? Ripley? Ash felt an icy all materialize in his belly. (Oh shit....)

"Ripley?" he asked. "I, uh...I mean--this is...not good."

[Ripley]

"Ripuri?" a female voice called in Japanese. "What's going on?"

(Kenzaki?) The petite Asian girl hurrying towards Ripley diffused her anger. She barely heard Ash's rambling. "Kenzaki?"

The girl's shy smile was unmistakably Kenzaki's. "Hai."

Ripley laughed aloud. "You're even more screwed than I am!" After giving Ash one last glare she turned to girl!Kenzaki. "Either she's a newbie, or you turned into a girl. You still have green blood?"

[Kenzaki]

His eyes became wider as he thought about it. "I haven't had time to check," he said. "I don't remember coming inside from Watch, even, but I was suddenly here."

There were more starting to gather; Kenzaki kept an eye out for his own body, in case he had been swapped like Ripuri had.

The change in light that seeped through her eyelids was the first clue something was wrong. The headache that slammed into her conscious mind was the second

"Eh?" Kenzaki asked, staring at his own body. The voice... did he really sound like that? Who was this girl, and what was she doing in his body? "Who are you?" he asked.

He was so startled by staring at his own body that he didn't even realize he hadn't even attempted to speak English.

Miho was stunned for a long moment, hearing her own voice, come from her own body and not being the one who spoke.

Then the second fact sunk in, he was speaking in Japanese.

Replying in kind, she couldn't help but stare at 'herself'. <"My name is Ryudo Miho, from Tokyo.">

She shook her head, the headache not really fading very quickly. <"And I take it this is your body?">

"Kenzaki Kazuma, also from Tokyo," he replied, automatically executing a slight bow. A new Japanese person?

But as he looked at his current hands, he realized that her skin tone wasn't really very Japanese. "And that's my body." He noticed that she seemed to be in pain; he wondered how, because his body had been fine when he was in it. "Are you okay?"

Her own bow was distracted. It was like there was something missing, being in a body that wasn't as strong or as agile as her own. She shook her head at his question <"I'm not really sure. But there is one thing I will tell you."> A faint smile crept to her (his?) lips <"Don't try to hold things too tightly.">

She knew he'd find, eventually, that her natural speed and strength were off the scale. But how else could she warn the boy that he was now in the body of a half-dragon, without frightening everyone else that was nearby.

"This is just too freaky" she muttered as she looked more closely at him. <"I'm sorry for staring, but it is only in my dreams that I've seen my body from this angle.">

For what it's worth, I think that Kenzaki is super strong, too. How his strength compares to that of a half-dragon I don't know.

~Chuckle~ Yeah, wondered about that.... I suspect the easiest way of describing it is that the way they use that strength is different, since Kenzaki's comes from being undead, but Miho's is part of her physical makeup... or does that make sense?

Sure, makes sense to me. I have a feeling that Miho's the stronger of the two, though.

Oh, Miho's definitely the stronger of the two.

Kenzaki is strong compared to most of the humans on the island, but I suspect he's going to be surprised by Miho's strength.
