They are a totally different set of rings, in a totally different direction from the others. It makes sense that if they have one set, they have others as well.
[Mayday] Too little, too late?weirdwebNovember 20 2006, 18:20:17 UTC
May had been scouting the perimeter - more for the excuse to get outside than anything else - when she'd spotted Jack Sparrow following a man she didn't recognize away from the bunker. It took her a little longer to realize that Aiden was tracking them; unlike the pirate, Aiden was actually attempting to be stealthy

The only warning that Wilson had before a form collided with he and Sparrow from above was the sudden flash of movement out of the corner of his eye. The collision came just as the rings completed rising, and as they descended, the momentum of the unidentified flying object sent him tumbling to the floor. He landed in an ungraceful tangle of limbs and gave out an undignified yelp of, "Ow! Shit

[Mayday] Well, that didn't work out as planned...weirdwebNovember 24 2006, 21:18:13 UTC
Crap, May thought. Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap. She should have paid better attention to those rings the first time she'd seen them; if she'd been thinking straight, she'd have tried to attack from the side.
She eyed the guards at the console. Six guards with energy weapons, and two civilians - okay, Dr. Wilson didn't count. Ordinarily, she could probably take them, maybe disarm all six if she was lucky.

"Yeah, send us back so I can beat him up. Are you a moron? What were you thinking?" May shouted at the befuddled Jack.
Swallowing his utter confusion at this turn of events, Jack responded to the teenager. "Send us back? That, my dear, is what I was thinking. This here fellow is supposed to send me back to where I belong, savvy?" Jack poked Wilson, earning him a stern glance from the doctor and the armed soldiers. "Mate, what kind of trick you tryin' to pull here? I don't think the young lady here wishes to join me where I'm goin'. Send her back."
