Skyfall was amazing! It was the first Bond movie I've ever seen - my mom was a Pierce Brosnan fangirl before I knew what a fangirl is, but I never watched her CDs - and I'm very happy with this Bond experience!
There were so many beautiful shots, it was a feast for the senses. Turkish markets, Vauxhall Cross, the neon lights of Shanghai and the dragon themes of Macau, the Tube, overhead shots of Scotland, fire fire and more fire, that freaking magical under the frozen lake scene, London skylines - I was shaking my head at most of them, I can't believe their beauty.
I wrote some notes on my phone lalala
- I keep reading MI6 as M16 haha, no actually I really thought it was M16 until around 2 years ago
- Shanghai has a fondness for blue LED lights
- SILHOUETTE FIGHT WITH FLYING JELLYFISH HOW H O W
- Oh Moneypenny is sexier than any Bond girl mmmmm
- Excuse me but if Daniel Craig was fiddling with my bra like that while I'm shaving him I'd probably have slipped and cut his throat already
- Shaken not stirred, perfect
- So many beautiful shots sob what a feast
- OH NO JAVIER BARDEM IT'S NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN ALL OVER AGAIN YOU BRILLIANT PERSON
- Most laughs in the theater was when Bond said 'What makes you think it's my first time'; oooh Silva you're in for a treat
- Not nearly enough Q
- I want Q's hair
- Yeah I can see the Batman
- So that's Skyfall
- My favorite shot due to the recency effect: that scene underneath the lake was astounding, they were like in space with a nebula forming on top, what a treat, it was very Doctor Who-ish
- M, oh M, she loves them, she does, but she won't hesitate, she'll put them down without a second thought if necessary
- Pierce Brosnan was always my mom's Bond, very good, Daniel Craig will be mine mmmm yes, thank God we wouldn't be fighting over this
Definitely worth it. God, Daniel Craig, what a beautiful man. He was really hot in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo too mmm. I have Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace (wow, Bond always gets the best titles) DL-ed and now I know how I'm spending my weekend.
