There's a perfectly pleasant cafe in the Nexus that happens to be staffed primarily by late 19th century accoutered tapir-like creatures; the coffee is decent but what's important is the atmosphere, which is sedate.
This is not the cafe Jonathan picked; that one is next door, on fire, and under attack by bees. But he considers the substitution well made.
"So," he says, stirring a packet of sugar into his cup. "How did you and Judah meet?"
