Yesterday’s sunshine is faded

Annoyingly, we’ve decided that we need to order a 3rd proof copy of the print edition. There are a few tiny problems that, if it was just one of them, we might leave it (as much as it would irk us), but together we can’t ignore them. Every one is just a little flaw in the format. Gah. But hey, we want it to be as close to perfect as possible, so…

Anyway, I took the opportunity to tweak the cover a bit, and re-uploaded it. And I’ve fixed everything in the document that we’ve noticed. At this point we’re waiting for the 2nd proof to arrive, so we can go through it with a fine-tooth comb to make sure we don’t miss anything. This, of course, is why we worked so hard to get ahead: so that we would have time to do this if we had to.

The Kindle and PRC editions are complete now, and the PDF just needs its pieces merged into 1 document. The Kindle document was 37 MB before uploading: whoof.

I sent out some more stories to our slush readers. We’re still running behind in # of submissions - not that we’re expecting to match last month, but we’d like to be around where the previous few months were. (And for some reason we’ve gotten a whopping 81% of submissions so far from male authors.) Remember, this month it’s Action/Adventure.

So much left to do this month. Oye.

Our official announcement, RE: serializing our first novel, will follow this post!
