Um...*waves* Hi, I'mwolfn,Ijoinedalittlewhileagoandtomakemyfirstpostworthwhile,IbringanAsuShinn fic! @_@ N-nervous? No, why do you ask? Eheh. T.T
Okey dokey...the first is a fic that I actually wrote quite a while ago- before GSD finished airing, but I never really shared it, 'cept on ff.net and in my journie- and it was supposed to be a drabble but seeing as how I can never leave a short story...short, here 'tis:
Dream
There were a lot of things that Shinn Asuka knew how to feel.
Angry.
Vengeful.
Bitter.
Heartbroken.
And he supposed he knew happiness as well, in its way. But, what he felt right now didn't really seem to be classified as happy. Happy was too energetic a word, too extreme. What this was, he wasn't sure of. Contentment? No, this was too surreal, not as simple as being content. A thousand things were floating through his mind at the moment, in an easy gait. It was like a dream, almost, he thought. Being asleep, yet awake.
Something was poking at his back. He shifted in closer to the warmth of the body next to him with a long drawn sigh. A hand slowly caressed his back.
"Feeling better?" Athrun asked in a low voice.
"Hn."
A chuckle. Then the hand stopped its movements as the owner made to get up.
All dreamlike wafts of...that feeling...disappeared as desperation replaced them.
"I didn't say go!"
"Shh...I'm not going anywhere," Athrun said, and Shinn relaxed as Athrun turned to face him. Pressing his face into the soft green sweater his former superior was wearing, Shinn nudged Athrun's hand to continue what it was doing before.
Affectionate seemed to be the word, Shinn thought, now growing drowsy because of the ministrations. His hand strayed and played with a few locks of midnight blue.
"A-Athrun."
"Shinn?"
"...don't stop..."
"I won't."
Shinn tipped his face to gaze into jade eyes whose tender expression made the situation all the more...affectionate. As did the smile softening Athrun's face.
"Athrun...you promise?" The words hung in the air, saying more.
Gentle fingers touched his cheek as the other hand cupped his face.
"Promise what?"
Affection, Shinn thought. Promise me affection. But being a person who never looked before they leapt, this thought came a second too late. The hand stopped abruptly, and the one cupping his face tightened for that second. Then Shinn felt them relax as Athrun smiled into the kiss.
When he drew back, breathless, shy, he was rewarded when he heard an "I promise," murmured close to his ear.
"Promise what?" he whispered back, clinging to that green sweater, one hand buried in azure hair.
"...love..."
That was the word, Shinn thought right before sleep overcame him as only sleep within the secure arms of a loved one can come. Love. I feel love.

Where Am I Going?
**Athrun's POV**
"Shinn?"
The ruby-eyed boy looked up from his typing.
"What is it?"
Athrun shifted slightly where he stood, one hand in his pocket and the other behind his head.
"Do you want to do anything special this weekend?"
Shinn frowned in confusion. "Special? What do you mean?"
"Well, you know, you haven't really gone out since...for a long time," said Athrun gently. "Kira and I were going to go for a walk outside by the woods, but he asked if you wanted to come along, and if you want to do something different, then-"
"I don't. I'm fine here, thanks."
It was Athrun's turn to frown. Ever since the end of the war, Shinn had been more withdrawn than ever before. He stayed out of everyone's way, spending hours upon hours at that laptop of his. He didn't talk unless spoken to, and because of how he never was around to talk to, that wasn't often.
Really, the only people who had any success in having a conversation longer than five sentences with him were Luna and Meyrin, unsurprisingly. And himself, Athrun supposed, though that was hardly anything special. After all, 10 sentences was not exactly a heart to heart talk.
That had been when he'd had to tell Shinn about... Rey's death. Athrun had tried his best, but it didn't seem to have worked. Obviously, he thought miserably, why should it? Rey was...had been...Shinn's best friend. It was Rey that'd always helped him, Rey that had congratulated him, Rey that he'd seemed to always turn to. Rey had never slapped him, or called him immature or humiliated him in front of everyone...With these bitter thoughts, Athrun strode over to the desk where Shinn sat, transfixed at the screen of his laptop.
"Shinn. I would like it very much if you came with Kira and I for an outing. Please." Athrun said softly but firmly.
Red eyes flashed at him, but as always, they hid whatever the owner was thinking quickly enough. "I wouldn't want to bother you two."
"You wouldn't be a bother. In fact, Kira and I would really appreciate if you did come."
"I'm sure."
"Good. This evening, then? Be ready by 6:00," so saying, Athrun ignored the sarcasm of the previous remark and left the room before Shinn could reply. Five and a half, thought Athrun smiling grimly. Better than usual.

**Shinn's POV?**
Shinn stepped out of the bathroom, dripping onto the cream mat. Toweling himself dry, he reached out for a pair of steel-coloured jeans and a black t-shirt. Pulling them on, he slipped into a grey hooded jacket, and put on his shoes as a knock sounded on the door.
"Hold on," he mumbled, aware that no one could hear but himself.
Running a comb through his hair, he glanced into the mirror one more time before he slid a pink mobile phone into his pocket and opened the door.
In a simple white shirt and deep blue dress pants stood Athrun, a navy tie hung loosely round his neck. Next to him, wearing a beige button down shirt with dark brown corduroy pants was the former pilot of Freedom.
"Ready?" Athrun inquired lightly. Nodding once, Shinn stuffed his hands into his pockets. "Let's get going, then?"
Another nod.
Following the two older males out, Shinn pulled on his hood and kept silent all throughout the conversation. He didn't need their pity.

**Kira's POV**
It wasn't working, observed Kira. At length, when both he and Athrun had fallen quiet, there had been only the rustling of the trees around them and their soft footsteps on the earthen ground.
He had never gotten to know Shinn. The only bit of interaction he'd had with him before...all the fighting...didn't make for anything.
Kira noticed the way Athrun kept glancing at the younger boy, and frowning slightly, his lower lip between his teeth. What to do now?
Athrun, do you think I could speak with you for a second? He asked silently with his eyes and a tilt of his head. Nodding, Athrun stepped closer to Kira and inclined his head to hear him better.
"Athrun. Shinn isn't enjoying himself, obviously."
"..."
A sigh. "Kira, what do I need to do?"
"Well, what do you think that Shinn needs to do?"
"Come to terms...no...well..." Emerald eyes met his as Kira heard Athrun say, "He needs to have a good talk. To let it out. What-whatever IT is."
"And with whom do you think?" asked Kira, though he could feel the answer as plainly as he could feel the wind in his hair.
"With you, I think."

So, should I go on with it? Or should it be left in the graveyard of abandoned fics?
