I have a question for any of you that have stitched a Mirabilia. I'm doing Fairy Moon (then Stargazer) and am wondering if it would be feasible to do her face and skin over one. Have any of you changed the regular skin cross-stitches to petit-point? Am I insane?

I re-charted and "smoothed" the edges using graph paper. By smoothing, I mean:
ox
xx in four stitches becomes in petit point:
un-smoothed:
ooxx
ooxx
xxxx
xxxx
smoothed:
ooxx
oxxx
xxxx
xxxx
Looks better, in my opinion.
For colors that might be blends (Nora uses these on skin sometimes), do the bottom / in one color and the top \ in the second color.

I've done Spring using this, and it works. Might help get you started on those specific patterns.

I think I'll bring this to the hospital today instead of just the actual stitching.

I've seen the Seasonal Queen conversions linked above, and decided that I'll do all skin-tone on Miras that way from now on. So if you're insane, then I'm right there with you. lol
Does Fairy Moon have lots of beads? The only reason I ask is that many of the Miras suggest 32 ct, and if there are vertical lines of beads then 32 ct is really too small, 28 ct is the way to go (as I found out the hard way of Lilly of the Woods). And 28 ct would def be easier for over-one as well.

I think.
