Don't be silly that is just one stuffy Scientist who never had a date. garryk isn't like that. illusive_shelle falls in love everytime a leaf falls, so they are not all boxed into thinking math is the key to being successful in a relationship :(

I think you're kinda right actually, I do seem to throw myself into things with much exhuberance. I did read the maths article, and statistically the gift thing does seem to work, both with humans and the animal world. The point that gifts with no long-term value, like dinners and flowers, are more effective at inticing a woman to stay than jewellery, because she has to stick around to keep getting them.

But hey, they tried to work out a formula for happiness as well and I wasn't too convinced by that either. Guess that's why I leave maths to the mathmos.
