Anizona - April 6-8 2007
Not much to say really about my trip to Arizona. I get to the airport and check my baggage and get in the security line that's out the door into the parking structure. Luckily, it was moving fast and all was good. I made friends in the line with these two women who were traveling on business and talked to them while waiting. The same thing happened when I got in line to board the plane. I started talking to these people, one of them this older woman who had on a fur coat and looked rich and was really nice. I think I'm turning into Kia and making friends in really random places.
Anyway, I arrive in Phoenix and meet Tasu at the airport and after a couple stops, us and the entourage head over to Toni's house. We had 6 people staying there; me on the couch, 3 girls on a sleeping bag, and 2 other girls on another part of the floor.
I celebrated my birthday on the 7th with Krish and Toni. Tako and Tasu ditched us for sushi, so Krish bought dinner, then we went to the store and got a chocolate cake and chilled.
The convention itself was a small one full of crazy fans that were crazy and weird. More on that later.

It's hard to see, but this truck had a confederate flag painted on the back and said "Ride Me." Toni and I thought it was hilarious and I took a pic.

There was this little girl who made friends with Tako and so the two of them played together. It was funny as hell, especially since Tako was dressed as Miki from Utena.

On Sunday, we go over to Toni's parent's house for lunch.
Tasu had both a burger and a hotdog, but I didn't get this pic in time.
However, I did with this one. She was so excited when she saw the food, it was funny. It was like she had never eaten before.

Despite the fact I told everyone, "Turn around, I'm taking a picture," they still were all, "Huh?" I like how Tasu has the burger.

I think the group I was with were the better of everyone there.
* SO MANY CRAZY PEOPLE.
Violent group too. At one point I got shoved into a wall while dressed as Benio. Tasu was dressed as Tamaki that day, so I did Benio and whenever people wanted her picture, I would get in front of her and try to push her out of the shot. I was doing it for a pic and the girls taking the pic were all, "WE DON'T WANT LOBELIA," and one of them pushed me away. I tried to get away, but she was pushing my back and kept on pushing even though I was like, "OMG, stop." We get to a wall and I try to stop but the girl doesn't and she pushes me into it. They all thought it was funny and I was all, "I will kick your ass, that hurt bitches." I also got hit on the ass with a riding crop by some random fan.
* Arizona people are uneducated.
People don't know different series. One person asked me if I was Light when I was Oshitari in the Hyotei school uniform, and another asked me if I was a Sailor Scout when I was Benio. But people liked Isabella.
* Apparently, we only know of two series.
We wanted to be asses and ask random people if they were from that "Na-roo-to" series or that "Pokey-man" series.
* Duo is a pretty, pretty princess.
"Turn into a car Utena!" - when Krish was Utena. I was also saying people would think she was Lacus from Gundam Seed.
"But people don't know Seed here. They only know Wing."
"OMG! ARE YOU QUATRE! YOU'RE QUATRE AREN'T YOU!"
"The hair is too long."
"OMG ARE YOU DUO? WITH PINK HAIR? AND A DRESS?"
Now the GW fans are going to be coming for me with pitchforks and torches for the mental picture I gave them. Heh heh, it was worth it.
* Tasu is no longer Tasu.
Tasu's new nicknames are now Orange Vinyl (when she was Akito/Agito) and Mello in a Poncho, which got shortened to Poncho (when she was that one character from HunterxHunter).
* Even the meanest of men have a soft spot. It also explains the pants.
Kaito (Air Gear) is secretly a Paradise Kiss fan, and I was actually him in Isabella cosplay. I don't remember how that discussion came about, but at one point I was acting like Kaito while dressed as Isabella.
* NO MORE SIGNS PLEASE.
So many "HUG ME" signs. We didn't hug any of them.
* Oshitari listens to no one. Everyone listens to Oshitari.
Oshitari now speaks in the third person. Oshitari actually told a person that Oshitari does not hug people. And after a long day of being evil and surprise raping everyone on the Hyotei tennis team, Oshitari likes to relax with a refreshing Coke. Oshitari is also now a big girl who got her period on the first day of the con and had to run to the drugstore while in cosplay to buy stuff.
* Heh heh, perk.
One of the perks of having small boobs? It doesn't hurt when you strap them down.
* When Tasu dies....
Tasu's funeral is going to be a huge party. We're going to stuff her, put her in a cosplay outfit, and sit her at a table for pictures. There will also be an open bar.
* Happy fun molesting time.
I have started calling everything, "Happy fun ____ times," like, "happy fun cosplay times, happy fun killing times," etc.
* Shiny?
I am easily influenced when it comes to cosplay. Well, as long as it doesn't involve much work (ie, I don't have to sew and buy stuff, or someone else will make it for me). I am going to be doing Soubi with Tako and Kaito with Tasu at AX. I shall be contacting Ellome about the gay pants soon.
* RHYTHM NI NORU ZE!
Tako dressed as Kamio at one point, so whenever she ran somewhere, we would yell out, "USE THE RHYTHM!"
* The new season of Gravitation.
We stopped by a Goodwill so I could get a hat for Isabella and I was wearing my sunglasses. Someone said I looked like I was famous, so I said Kamio was my manager and Akito was my bodyguard and that we were now the crazy cast of Gravitation.
* CRAZY RACCOON GIRL!
There was a girl who came into the board room we were hanging out in and started bothering Tasu and Tako while they were dressed as Yuko and Kyo. Luckily, she didn't know Isabella, so she left me alone. She was probably 16 and psycho. She pulled off Tasu's shoes at one point saying she liked feet and was just talking to us and running around and being loud. Her mom finally found her and took her away.
* OCTOPUUUUUUUUS!
Don't ask.
* Ribbons and race! Rorita! Harry-joo-koo!
We started replacing L's with R's and saying that people were so "Harry-joo-koo."
Um....I can't think of anything else. Hopefully Tako, Toni or Tasu can help me out.
I'm thinking of starting a cosplay site to dump my pictures on from shoots. Does anyone know of a good place that has free hosting?
