She has so many mixed feelings to process about this. How do you approach someone that you initially thought only existed in your dreams? Though of course Kairi was real. Riku had confirmed that. And...and because she was actually supposed to be Sora's double, she had taken a form that resembled his most precious memories. So she looked like this girl...

They're gonna destroy you! Axel's voice echoed in her mind. She shook her head slightly. No. Riku was good. It wasn't his fault he just wanted his friend back. In his place, she would do the same, right? And Kairi was probably good too. If anything, because of how Riku smiled when he talked about her.

She came out of her private musings when she heard her name being called.

"Yes." she replied. The shade of red was not like Axel's but it was still noticeable even from a distance.

Sorry for the slowness (busy weekend :p ) destinyfruit March 29 2010, 01:49:08 UTC
Kairi noticed the color in Xion's cheeks and laughed quietly to herself. The more she looked at the girl the more familiar Xion felt. She saw similarity in her appearance, but it wasn't the same with Namine. Nowhere in her ached for a missing part of herself...so then who was Xion?

"Thanks for coming to get me," Kairi said sheepishly. "You'd think they could give us a map or something."

She laughed, a bit surprised. "I think I mentioned the exact same thing to Reno. They kind of just leave us to figure it out on our own. But I guess at least the ones of us that are already here can help the others."

This girl was what so many elements of herself were made up of. Because of Sora. She wanted to know more, but she didn't know how to bring it up without having to explain how she even knew about Sora in the first place. Riku hadn't been angry. And maybe Kairi wouldn't be either - but to know that Sora was sleeping endlessly somewhere and couldn't wake up so long as Xion was disconnected from him, well, wouldn't that just make her sad? And things were pretty complicated already.

"What's the last thing you remember before you got here?" she asked.

"Well..." Kairi had to stop and think about it for a moment. Everything since arriving was sort of fuzzy, and she wasn't quite sure which parts had really happened and which she had just imagined. This place seemed to mix up her thoughts even more by the very nature of it. "I was sitting on the beach, and then when I stood up, I sunk." As far as being kidnapped went, it was probably one of the more pleasant experiences. At least her heart was still intact, as far as she knew. "And now I'm here."

"I was running in the dark and I tripped and I fell." Xion admitted a bit sheepishly. "When I fell I just kept falling. I feel for a very long time. I think I fell asleep once."

There was a slight pause and a tilt to her head.

"I like the beach. The sand, the sun on the water...the shells that get washed up on the beach."

"You too? Kairi smiled, finding kinship in their love of the beach. "The sand, the sun..." She trailed off for a moment, thinking of home. She snapped back a moment later, smiling sheepishly. "I hope there's a beach somewhere around here," She added softly.

"So, Xion...where are you from?"

"I haven't seen one." the girl, said sounding genuinely disappointed. "But there is a carnival here. And the owner doesn't care what faction you're with. There's some strange stuff there, but it's never boring. And I tried cotton candy for the first time."

She paused to think about that last question and what direction she might take with it. 'Nowhere' would have been the best answer. Her earliest memory was of walking into Where Nothing Gathers and being introduced by Xemnas to the Organization. She hadn't even been able to talk then. It was like sleep walking until she met Roxas.

"It wasn't called anything in particular." she said, seeming to be thinking of something far away. "I stayed in the Castle most of the time."
