The Queen arrived in the cafe quickly, not one to ever leave others waiting. Time was a very important thing not to waste, after all. So he swept into the cafe, flashing one of the faceless waitresses a calm smile before he spotted the Duke in the corner. Hm. He certainly seemed to know how to choose a suitable spot... As expected.

He approached the other noble and sat. "I hope I haven't kept you waiting."

It was a matter of safety that they were to be seated out of the way of the populous of the cafe, and at the same time wanting to look as casual as they could so not to draw too much attention. Smiling and standing as The Queen arrived. Moving to pull the other seat out for his guest.

"The time I have spent waiting in here is nothing, your Highness, I however apologise in having taken my time when arranging this little meeting."

The Queen sat primly, tucking some hair behind his ear before offering Rufus another calm smile.

"It's truly no problem at all, I was glad to have the opportunity to meet with you again." He was diplomatic and pleasant as he was with every person, whether they were a subject or not. Of course it was as difficult as usual to tell how sincere he truly was.

Pushing The Queen's chair in for them as he retuned to his own shortly after doing to. "Yes, I was meaning to do so earlier but ...I've been keeping somewhat of a low profile you see."

Almost smiling, waving for the waitress to bring along the tea and pastries that he'd took the liberty of ordering prior to his guests arrival. "Now then, seeing as how its taken all this time to meet up once more, lets not rush to the main event hm?"

"I understand that much. It can definitely be sensible to not be too flashy in a place such as this."

The Queen nodded thoughtfully, offering the new waitress the same smile he had given the first. His attention then returned to the Duke with a small tilt of his head. "Ah, but I fear even I have my slightly impatient moments. But I suppose it can wait if you insist."

The Queens interest in his little project was a good sign to the Duke, it meant that for the time being if he could convince this influential male that he was a comrade worthy of his time, his life here in Wonderland could be most comfortable.

"Well then, shall I start to explain?"

Folding his hands under his chin as elbows rest upon the table top, leaning in so that it was clear his words were meant only for the Queen.

The Queen certainly had enough patience to listen to the ideas of many, even if he would only wind up dismissing them in the end. Fortunately he was quite sure that the Duke would not waste his time with some petty plan. So he just smiled again and leaned forward slightly as well.

"Yes, go ahead."

Rufus produced a small box before the Queen, it was wrapped up neat and tidy with a bouncing ribbon on top. Those sly and sleepless eyes of the Dukes side glanced around the room as he sat the gift down. Wishing the other male a fake Happy Birthday just in case they had drawn any attention to themselves before talking in a rather small voice.

"Don't open it in public, but I assure you .. you will not be disappointed. I regret that I was unable to make you exact copies, but I assure you they will work just as well for the time being."

The Queen took the box with another casual and unassuming smile, nodding politely in response to the false birthday wish. He was used enough to always putting on a polite and innocent expression, especially when secrets were truly being exchanged... And of course it never hurt that anyone who spoke against him rarely kept their heads long.

But that wasn't the point. He merely nodded towards Rufus again. "Thank you for your hard work. I'm so relieved that you haven't failed my expectations."

Rufus Barma was a man who delivered. If The Duke promised it, it would be ... there is no doubt about that. Nodding, fanning himself down while returning that smile to The Queen, sly and skilful were his sleepless eyes, scanning with cation the room once more, just in case.

"I gave you my word did I not? That you would be able count on me, all I ask for was a little time and patience". It should have been perfectly clear what was awaiting inside that box. Something that would help aid The Queen in his quest.
