Oyster hunting. Oysters in exchange for a house. How unusual. It wasn't the sort of thing that would have happened back home, but if it was the payment that the Walrus and the Carpenter wanted, then he supposed it was all right. And it was better than the laughs or screams of pain or jokes that other people had asked for.
And then he had actually gone looking for the oysters, and had discovered that it was harder to find them and catch them than he would have ever expected.
2 floors. 8 on the first floor, 6 on the second. That was 5 oysters for the first room, then 7 x 3 = 21, then 10 for a second floor, then 5 x 3 = 15. That was... 51 oysters. He could collect 52 and give one away. However, at the rate he was finding and catching these things, it would be about 20 hours before he had enough.
That was all right though, because he was going to get this done, and going to get it done himself. When (if) any of the others came, he wanted to have a house that they could live in. A nice house, somewhere that Patti and Liz would like, that was big enough for Maka and Soul and Black✩Star and Tsubaki and anyone else that came.
