Well, as far as theater goes I'd say take any production classes they offer and keep getting involved in the shows.
The best thing about majors is they can always be changed :) And you're right, they don't matter for much. Plus you could always minor in something if you want, or just take a lot of classes in it.
But seriously... I started out as an English/bio double major. Then I became an English/history double major. Then I was an English major/music minor. Now I'm an English major/writing minor.
Yipes! I'm not too worried about it, honestly. I still have three semesters before I need to declare at all. I'm just looking for opinions that will make me think about my choices. :)
And yes, you must study abroad. No matter what.

There's always the option of double majoring, too! Especially if you want to take theater classes but also want more of a solid background.

We actually don't have minors here - just language concentrations. It's weird.
