So today, I woke up and drovew home, slept, got up showered, and waited for Lauren to pick me up. Then went to the wake for the guy I knew in H.S. that was killed in Iraq. Talking about a funeral to bring a family together, it was like a high school reunion! But it just shows what a great guy Shawn was, how people traveled a ton of miles to come say bye to him, and support the family. It was very sad though. I only had a few tears, which I was surprised about. It was nice to see everyone, but weird at the same time. WE stayed for the service, and the Elmhurst veterens did this whole thing dedicated to him. They marched in, then spoke, saluted his casket, adn then a guy played the trumpet, the song you usually hearon Memorial day or when a soldier dies. That made me cry. Said out goodbyes, and left. Thank you for going with me Lauren, I couldn't ahve done it with out you. WEnt home, ate, and drove back to school. Hung out with Marie, Margaret, Kat, Carrie, Katie, and DAve for a bit in Dole. THey were having a Michael Jackson "Dance Party." DAve, Kat, and Marie were wearing these funky polyester pants, it was HILARIOUS. Then they were all dancing around to Michael, it was so funny. Thanks for the laugh y'all! Off to bed, I am EXHAUSTED and I HAVE to go to class tomorrow, so I am going to try to get some rest.
