Well, I went home this weekend for the holiday. It was nice to be home, but busy! I go to watch my Cubbies though on Friday night. They ended up winning in 15 innings! Thank God! I also got to see a lot of my family, friends, and my neighbors! Man do I miss those kids. Their like my nieces and nephew. Jacob (who is almost 4) would not let go of me when I first go there and when he knew I was leaving. Just by playing with him, I know I am loved! Kids are so honest and sweet (most of the time) and they can really teach you about life, if you open yourself up and listen.
On Saturday, I got to go to our coffee house in our town with one of my best friends, Lauren. It was so nice to just sit down and talk to her. We havent hung out by ourselves in a long time! My mom called to see what I was up to and she told me that I had to be home to leave for my aunts soon. Before we knew it, it was already two hours later! We just kept on rambling on and on. I feel so much closer to her. Not that we weren't close before, but we shared a lot and I think our bond grew. Thanks for that Laur, I will NEVER forget it!
Saturday night I went to my Aunts house to have Easter dinner with that side of the family. I had fun. I went on an Easter Egg hunt with my two cousins, and I only found 1 egg! I was the oldest! How did I only get one egg? And it only had .30 cents in it. I couldnt of found the $1.00 eggs? After a delicious dinner (thank God for home cookin), we played a dice game called LCR. Its with money. It was a lot of fun, I won the pot once, it was only about $3.00 though because we played with dimes. But, it was still a blast. Eventually the adults who were drinking a lil bit too much of the wine couldn't tell their left from their right! Of coarse my mom denied being drunk though. After I came in from watching the Texas Chainsaw Massacre with friends, she was passed out! She got up and stumbled, no not tipsy at all!!!!!
We had breakfast and did Easter baskets this morning. Then drove back to good 'ol OC. But, I did find out that one of my H.S. friends had her baby on SAturday. She was 7lbs. 15oz. And named her Brooke Evan. A friend e-mailed me a picture and she is so beautiful! She is so blessed to have her in her life now! I cant wait to see them next time I am home. It may be awkward cause we barely talk anymore, but it's worth it.
Well, even though I am restless, I am still going to try to go to sleep now.
