Phew, it's been a while!
Yea, I guess I thought it was time for me to get back on this thing and update. It's been like, forEVER since the last time. Anyway. Let's see....
Brandon was working at Bono's... for about 3 weeks. He quit yesterday because he was only working about 2-4 hours a shift & he was getting scheduled for 1 day a freakin' week. So, yea. If he's not working, we ain't got no money. I mean, my checks aren't too bad, but I'm basically covering our $660 rent & his money was everything else. So yesterday & today we went to all the places around the mall here, close to our apartment, and he put in apps. to the ones he thought would be worth it. Many of the managers are out of town, though, since it's the 4th t'morrow, so most likely he'll get call-backs Wed. or Thurs. He better get something soon. Hopefully waitering at a decent restaurant with decent hours. Grrr.
I was in Miami last week, for a follow up to my eye exam - my left eye's been all sort's of fucked up since Aptil. The Dr. sent me home with MORE medication since the eye's improving, but not normal yet. I also went to see my physician over there & he told me my choloesterol was too high. Soooooo, I've gone on a diet. This is my first attempt at a real diet, ever. I am also going to Ale's gym every other day or so & doing the treadmill there, along with some weights.Today was Day ^ and I've lost 5 pounds so far - go me! I cut all the carbs/sugar/processed foods/baked foods/anything made of flour from my diet, to try'n kick my cravings for the stuff. I have not had anything other than chicken breast, fish, steak and tons of veggies. So far so good. I hope I can keep it up.
I miss Naruto. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
Work is going great. I'm fast approaching my 3rd month at IVS. Learning tons.
Oh, I got an 'A' in Fl Flora & Fauna for Summer A. Me & Ale both. I'm excited. I'll be starting World Geography & Animal Behavior on Wed. If I get good grades on those 2 classes, it'll increase my chances at getting Fin. Aid for Fall. I had been denied since I've already taken too many credits since I've been at SFCC, but they said I should re-submit my appeal with my summer grades. ::crosses fingers::
What else.... I'm trying to sell my van. If anyone is interested, or knows someone who is, let me know & I'll tell you the details.
I was to go back to Japan, soo badly. I don't know why, but I really miss being there. Even if it was only for a week. I just feel like there's so much more for me to explore. & I miss the noodles. :(
Anyway. I have to go take care of my foster kittens - I have 5 of them from Gainesville Pet Rescue. They're screaming for dinner. Hehe. Ciao.
