After a short and semi-lonely stay in Winnipeg I've come to realize that I have a short fuse with the ones I love after being alone for hours on end in a place I don't want to be. I hate it... but it's a fact.
I've started to read Steve Brown's 'Scandalous Freedom' again. It's a decent book -- a little over-explained, but generally with books of this nature I can see where the author is going within the first paragraph or two.
Anyway, one point he made that I really like is the fact that he's accepting that he's probably not going to get any better as a person. I'll quote some text later on if anyones asks for it. One of the key topics he hits on time and time again is how we have to not *try* and be perfect, but rather let God make us perfect through his grace and righteousness.
I started to write this post in the lobby, but then a guy I work with came by so I saved it as a draft.
What have you been learning from books these days?
