..Our life in the big city.. well, we are still doing little more than just routinely puttering along here so there is nothing new at all to report on, at least nothing of any interest for anyone reading this

well hey stranger! "Crash" was a bit over my "depressing movie" line... after which my own rating and recomendation of the movie goes down no matter how well it is done. Credibility is the first pre-requisite to any movie (which the movie has).. but where the movie moves me to also counts in my own final analysis. I have noticed that it is my tendency to give higher ratings to movies that don't take me quite so far into the dark side of human nature. One comes out of this movie thinking that our dark side is our only reality, which of course it isn't. Patti liked it better than I did.
An older movie (which you've probably seen) is "American History X" that I would recommend to you. The most recent video we watched which we both gave very high marks to was "Pennies from Heaven" (Steve Martin.. a depressing musical).. Here are some others we have recently watched and at least one of us gave high marks to (but I won't say which).. Oh, because Patti and I are in process of losing our minds, we now write down and rate all the movies we watch.
"Ray" well of course! "Closer to Home" "You can count on me" "Year of living dangerously" "The Straight Story" "The Sea Inside" "Song Catcher" (this is more of a woman's movie than a man's movie)
hopefully there is one or two in the list you haven't seen. :-)bill
