interesting weekend....

...to say the least. it was good though. a bunch of the lamfer gang, including the penguin (yay!), showed up at sake on sat night. sake bombs were a big hit. the penguin had sushi for the first time and loved it. they were all on their way to a baboon show so we closed up early (no one was there anyways) and I met them there around 1am just as they guys took the stage. I rocked my ass off! I was so excited to be out and social that I nearly wet myself...lol. not to mention seeing brandon...in his uniform no less! that uniform saved both our asses later on that night. after the show, brandon and I still wanted to hang out so we went and got his truck from where it was parked and he took me back to my car, which was parked at sake. the plan was that he was gonna follow me to my place so we could hang out. well, as we're pulling away from the parking lot at sake, I drove around the baricades that were set up on 6th cuz, as far as I could tell, the cross street (very narrow one way street...more of an alley actually) was blocked by an ambulance that was parked there. all of a sudden, two cops are flagging us down. I'm like, fuck! the cop talking to me says, "you don't know what barricades are for?" I politely explained to him that I thought I had no choice...it was either that or go the wrong way down a one way street. so he starts asking me about brandon. he asks me if he's really in the military. I told him yeah, he's on leave and shipping out to japan in a couple weeks. he asked me how much he'd had to drink. I told him I didn't know, but I didn't think it was that much (lie). he asked me how much I had to drink and I told him only one drink cuz I'd been at work all night (lie again). anyways, long story short, they could smell the alcahol on brandon but they cop said they were gonna give him a break since he was navy and in his uniform. they didn't wanna get him into trouble. they asked me if I minded giving him a ride. I was like, hell no. so we ended up having to leave his truck parked on 6th. better than going to jail that's for sure. so we go back to my place and hang out...and finish off a bottle of vodka. at about 6am we head back downtown to pick up his truck then come back here for the night.

anyways, that was the big event of the weekend. the burden brothers dvd came in the mail today! woot! it looks awesome. there are some dark shots in the behind the scenes stuff but, what can you do. the lamf interviews came out great....and mr jason surprisingly didn't make an appearence despite the fact that he was interviewed. I find that quite funny.

oh, another interesting event at work. our bar cooler froze. all the beer, all the wine, FROZEN! we had almost no beer to sell on a saturday night. james was very unhappy, of course, cuz all that beer had to be thrown out. the inventory was weird today, too. alot of stuff was off. good thing I haven't been bartending lately...lol. if it comes out of my paycheck I'll hafta pitch a fit, that's all there is to it. especially since tom likes to make drinks behind the bar and not pay for them. I call him on it all the time and he insists that james doesn't count it anymore. yeah we'll see.
