So, my rear brakes went on my 1990 honda civic. canadian tire ( yes i know now, CRAPPY tire) tried to tell me it would cost $1200. bull.fraking.shit.
so i had the car towed home, and bought some tools and set to doing it myself with the help of my haynes guide and my father, over the phone.
i have the WHOLE goddamn procedure figured out. but the car is 17 years old, i've only had it for the past two... but the brakes are all rusted up (the left shoe fell to pieces, eep) and i can't get the old stuff OFF. *whine* makes me wish i had an airgun. *pout* but a ratchet set i can justify, a dremel tool, i can justify. but a decent air compressor and gun -- that i can't quite.
and i'm still into doing the job myself, but i'm starting to feel... uninspired about it. i've spent DAYS on the stupid spindle nuts and NOTHING. they. won't. budge.
but i don't want to give up yet... not yet.
