I just saw that David Halberstam died. I'll miss the guy. He's a legendary journalist and historian who visited TU during my Freshman year only a couple months before the Iraq War. After a listless speech in which he gently criticized the impending war, he conducted a 45 minute Q&A that was just magnificent. While in the speech, he was boring and monotone, he had so much vigor when he answered people's questions about all kinds of topics. I was so glad I went and I often rank it as my favorite cultural moment that I participated in while at TU. Well that, getting yelled at by Sen. Inhofe, and laughing my ass off at Paul Tay. Probably a 3-way tie.
I also participated in TRASHionals over the weekend. I'm not sure how I did because TRASH is typically bad about posting stats. It was probably my last TRASHionals unless something drastic happens. I enjoyed it while it lasted.
