I just finished listening to Rise Against's new album "The Sufferer and the witness." It's pretty amazing. And kind of love it. It's completely different from their last album "Siren Song of the Counter Culture" which is a good thing. Siren Song has 5 of the best songs I have ever heard but the other 7 songs are practicallu unlistenable. I can't listen to the album all the way through. Their new album doesn't have any standout tracks. The whole things is just solid. I'm pretty sure that this will be the only album I listen to for the rest of the summer. I had low expectations for it because I thought that it was just going to further the decline. It isn't as great as "Revolutions per Minute" which is one of my all-time favorites but a very good effort.
