[Listenin’ to| Queen "Fat-bottomed Girls" (when I finished meme)]
marijke1985, I have a good one for you! I couldn't even finish reading my friends list. I'm just too excited about this...
I'm going to do this entire meme with my stereo up really loud cuz the boys aren't home! (mwahahaha... [dairy queen laugh]... uh, they'll get it)
Set your iTunes to shuffle, listen to the songs, and ask iTunes the following questions.
1. What do you think of me, iTunes?
"Don't Let Go" En Vogue
Interpretation: iTunes lives in misery when I'm not around. I think this is about how amazingly awesome my taste in music is and people are lonely without me and my great taste in their lives. Maybe people (like all my far-away friends) even miss me for other reasons. They don't want to let go! :)
2. What do my friends really think of me?
"Nashville Skyline" by Dishwalla
Interpretation: This is a sorta sad but beautiful song. It's about feeling complete freedom. So I think my friends probably admire my free-thinking, free-acting attitude.
3. How can I make people like me more?
"Walk Like an Egyptian [a cappella]" from (some college.. not sure which)
Interpretation: Yes, that probably would help my popularity. Or maybe I should do more a cappella singing (for those who don't know, that's what I did for 4 yrs in college).
4. What does my crush truly think of me?
"When Morning Comes" from Dishwalla
Interpretation: Could this song be more ambiguous? Maybe because I don't really have a crush anymore?
5. Do people secretly lust after me?
"Lady, Your Roof Brings Me Down" from Scott Weiland
Interpretation: This is one of the sexiest songs I've ever heard. Very lusty tango-like. So my guess is, with lyrics like "I'll paint your town," yes. Hell yes. (I think this was on the Great Expectations soundtrack. Also one lusty lusty movie. I think. Actually, I just read the book.)
6. How can I maximize my pleasure during sex?
"In My Room" by Grant Lee Buffalo
Interpretation: "There's a room where I can go and tell my secrets to in my room, in my room." This is a very UNSEXY song. But I guess I better have sex in my room.
7. Will I ever have children?
"Waiting for You" by Seal
Interpretation: If I ever find the right guy...
8. Do you know where your children are?
"Grind" by Alice in Chains
Interpretation: Probably the scariest song I have in my collection. "In the darkest hole, you'd be well advised not to plan my funeral before the body dies." Great. My children are dead in a dark hole. Actually I think this song is about nightmares, so maybe they're just having dreams about dying.
9. What should I do with my life?
"Feel Alive" from U.P.O.
Interpretation: Interesting. This is a hard rock song and it's pretty intense, but in a good way. I guess anything is good as long as I'm feelin' it. :)
10. Will I have a happy life?
"Cry in the Sun" from Better Than Ezra
Interpretation: I might as well kill myself now. "Cry in the sun where the devil beats his wife. If you cry cry cry in the sun, hope I never see the price of my freedom." It's actually about finding a picture of someone and missing them a whole lot. Maybe I'll have lots of [sad] things to remember?
11. Why must life be so full of pain?
"Shiny Disco Ball" by [Club Mix]
Interpretation: One of my favorite club songs that we used to hear all the time when we went dancing. Of course that was when I was with my best friend [at the time]. I guess life is painful because people change, whether you want them to or not. The good times can't last forever.
12. What do you think happiness is?
"Sing Along" by Grant Lee Buffalo
Interpretation: Funny cuz there is a song called "Happiness" on this same album. Grant Lee Buffalo makes me happy cuz they were/are the best band ever and they made the most wonderful music.
13. How can I make myself happy?
"Waking Memory" by Grant-Lee Phillips
Interpretation: Haha, it's Grant again. He does make me happy, clearly. I'll just listen to him all day long.
14. Will I die happy?
"Stand by Me" by The Temptations
Interpretation: What a great song. So pretty. I guess that means I'll die with someone else in my life. If I choose to stand by him, I suppose.
15. Can you give me some good advice?
"Bridge Over Troubled Water" from Clay Aiken
Interpretation: "When you're weary, feeling small, when tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all." Thank you, Clay. I lurrrve you. Can I give YOU some advice? Cut your crazy-ass hair.
