yo sup
My name is Misti. I was invited to join the party so here I am. 8)
I make mostly icons but I sometimes make profile codes and headers as well. I don't have a definitive style to my stuff but I generally prefer obnoxiously bright and loud colouring, so expect that. Also expect me to not post very often, mostly because I'm a college student and when I'm not busy to the point of tears I'm usually ultra-lazy. I suck with screenshots but enjoy colouring scans. I may or may not ever do requests because I get really insecure when I try to work with them. Last thing - I don't require credit. Crediting is super chill but I really don't care either way as long as you don't go around acting like a dick and saying you made them, because that's super unchill. Just don't get me mixed up with
glorify or
moot - if they want credit, give it to them.
I guess I covered everything. Anyway, I'm currently working on a batch of icons but in the meantime I wanted to both introduce myself and to share two requested tutorials, both of which are super easy.

Acquire an image. I get the vast majority from 4chan, which... is a bad idea but whatever. Resize/crop/etc.
• New hue/saturation layer. Bump the saturation up to around +57.
• New selective colour layer.

image get• After resizing and everything, take the lasso tool and outline the subject in the image. I use the polygonal lasso tool.
• Go to Select » Inverse, or ctrl+shift+I. This reverses the selection.
• Choose the flood fill tool and fill the background with whatever you want. I chose #c3ff75.
• New hue/saturation layer. Increase the saturation just enough to make the colours pop, and you're done.
More interesting stuff to come soon. I'm way excited to be here and hope I don't disappoint. ♥
