So I registered this account something like a year or more ago but never did anything with it.
I'm kind of bored now, so what the hell.
Not really sure what I'm going to use this for, so just bare with me till I figure that out. That's of course assuming anyone's reading. Also, for my first post here, I'm using this Semagic editor thing, probably not a good idea... but anyway, forgive me if I haven't got the formatting options or anything else configured just yet. But I digress...
Cronyx Ravage - That's not really my name, but it does sound kind of cool doesn't it? At least it's original. It's what I go by under this static sky (5 Cool Points to who gets the reference), in every zip code. So you might see me on irc, in a game of Desert Combat, or trolling around some forum as I'm prone to do.
It's the only handle I've ever really used, unless you count "Apocalyps". No, I didn't spell that wrong. It's just that back in "the day", that was the character limit on most IRC servers, so it always cut off my damn "e" at the end. Probably for the better, as that wasn't a very good handle. I think I was twelve or something, and I really liked the character Apocalypse on Fox's X-Men cartoon. I knew little to nothing about him at the time other than the fact he was damned powerful and liked to blow shit up.
Come on man, I was like 12 or something.
Anyway, so, after finally deciding I wanted my own unique fingerprint, I got cracking on inventing one.
laf... I'm reminded of Jessy's character on "Hackers" when he was trying to come up with a handle...
It took a few weeks before I had something I liked, most of which was jibberish, random letters I threw down that sounded cool. Eventually I started mixing words, and ended up putting Crow and Phoenix together. Actually that's not entirely accurate, as the "cronyx" (crow phoenix hybrid) was a creature I came up with on the spur of the moment for a role playing setting I was involved in. I figured, hey, lots of people are named after animals. Why not a mythological one that I made up? It kinda stuck after that and I ended up writing this whole back story for it.
Oh yeah.. It also just so happens that Cronyx happens to be the name of my oldest role playing character. I added the Ravage because I needed a last name for him. And yes, I happend to be watching an episode of The Transformers on the SciFi channel right at the exact moment a last name was requested of the character. Ravage sounded good. So now you know the dirty little secret of my so-called "original" handle.
That story sucked anal cunt I know, but like I said, I don't really know what the hell I'm supposed to be posting here anyway.
