Leigh and I ordered a couple costumes for this month and FedEx was kind enough to deliver them today. The thing is though we were naturally not at home due to school & work. I received an email about the attempt being made and was told to contact them to reschedule a delivery. So that's what I did...
Talk about being inconvenient...
They only deliver during business hours, which is retarded cuz most people are at work during business hours.
I can't change the delivery address to my work address without a charge going to the sender.
I can't request a time for them to make their next attempt. "I work until 4:30, can you deliver it after then?" "We can't guarantee it, it will be delievered between 8am & 5pm".
I can't get a call from the driver informing me when they're going to in the area.
I can however bus down to their depot by the airport and pick it up there. I told them that was extremely inconvenient.
They then said that the driver would make a 2nd attempt to deliver the package tomorrow between the hours of 8am & 5pm. I told them that I would again be at work and that no one would be home and the circle began all over again.
Now then, I understand FedEx is obviously very busy but what I don't understand is why they are so hard to work with? Why do they only deliver during business hours when 1/2 the world is at work during business hours...that is afterall where they got their name right?
Delivery companies like FedEx, UPS, DHL or whatever should operate on broader time frame. Deliveries should be made between 8am & 10pm perhaps...you know, when people are actually home to accept their packages!
*sigh* So frustrating...I'm so glad I don't have to deal with this shit and records anymore!
